Heyyyyyy my fellow Arkansans….I just filed today. I haven’t been accepted yet but I will update when I have. I notice that I am a bit more patient this season. I think it’s because I know that they always find new ways to hold on to our money longer so I’m just expecting delays. Sigh…

I just zeroed out overnight, still not issued but there is movement. My husbands boss just got hers today. That’s the first person I know to actually have funds. It’ll be a few more for my paper check I’m sure. As of right now tho 29 days from the date the account showed a positive balance and 30 days from filing to zeroing out. It has never taken this long.

I have to agree this is the slowest in 22 years of filing state taxes it has taken. I could have just came in with my Id to Little Rock office and picked up the darn check by now.
Id honestly like to see how this prevented fraud in any way lol. Like what extra steps did they take besides drawing over two months of extra intrest off our loaning them funds in 2022…. As beautiful as this state is, it’s still so technically backwards it ain’t even funny. -

I was processed on 01/26 and still waiting. Last year I was processed on 2/4 and had the check in hand on 2/16. With Monday being a holiday I dunno what the state is thinking by holding them this long. About to call J G Wentworth… lol, might as well set up a annuity on it. -

@ME: If you got to the state website atap.arkansas.gov you can check your refund or you can set up a individual taxpayer account and see your refund amount sitting there. Once the amount zeroes out, they have sent the money to your bank.

I’m here! Yeah haven’t paid much attention to my little 122 positive balance to move. I always end up getting a paper check about two to three weeks after that. I’m super surprised by federal though, already done and updated transcripts just waiting on path act to release and have a process date of 2/14/22.

I finally was able to access ATAP. when I login this year it shows ontime-inerror. the amount is zeroed out however.. any ideas?

So my ATAP zeroed out on the 11th and tonight I received a text that my refund was issued on the 11th and to wait 7-10 business days for a deposit…

ATAP is the Arkansas Tax Payer website.

As long as there is a negative balance, they have not sent the refund. It will “reset” to zero one they send it. Although I have found that it will zero and then several days will pass until you actually get the money. -
@rick @Slknyk I am able to see on WMR that it has been received, but still processing. I’ve called and they can’t seem to give me any info except 3-6 weeks.
What do you both mean when you say your ATAP has zeroed out? Is this another site with info? Thanks for any help!
I am very frustrated with the state this year, it used to only take a week or so and now each year it seems to take longer and longer.

Called yesterday. Asked them to verify if I had check or direct deposit. She said I was getting a paper check and to wait 7 business days. I said so it’s been mailed? She really never gave a solid answer and was whispering. Guess they’re not supposed to say?! Who knows. Checked and mine zeroed out last night but WMR still shows the standard message about it being accepted.

I called AR yesterday and rep confirmed that I selected direct deposit and told me give it 5 days to deposit so we’ll see. Filed and accepted Feb 4th. Still no Fed refund either! :(

Finally updated today saying it was issued 2/17. Did not say that last night. Never received a text like I was suppose too. Was suppose to be deposit but I’m guessing we are going to get a check.

Just a little state update. I received an email saying my refund was issued 2/17/20. First movement since filing. I checked the state website and it says the same thing. Nothing has arrived yet though. It does say to allow 7-10 days to receive it.

Kinda weird none of that have zeroed out have gotten the text saying it was issued. Last year I got the text the day after and the refund by mail two days later.
However I am extremely surprised at how quickly that went. It sat with a positive balance almost three weeks last year. -

My atap balance zeroed out today, it still says refund not sent on the Arkansas wmr but seeing the tax account zeroed out means I’ll either have it dad soon or in the mail Monday or Tuesday. Fingers crossed everyone else sees the same soon.

No movement yet, however last year it was a total of 21 days for me (including weekends). For some reason they sent a paper check even though I elected direct deposit. I’m hoping for DD but I have a feeling I’ll be getting a check again this year. -

Looks like they sent a check again even though the text didn’t say that and I had no fees and elected dd. I see informed delivery has it scanned in for delivery today. At least I figured it out but they could have at least let a woman know something lol.

Still no deposit, everyone I know who had the sent 2/20 already have theirs. Was hoping to have it before my birthday Monday but everyone I have talked to stated if turbo card didn’t deposit by Friday they will not process it till Monday? /shrugs

@kp I’ve seen others state up to 11 days, some three so I’m not sure if there is a definite timeline or they just throw papers at a bin and whatever makes it in gets deposits and the ones that hit the floor have to try again?
On another note the boyfriend got a reply from the atap site secure message that said they looked into the account and it was still being looked over they would add a message to go ahead and release if nothing is needed. Found that weird as he expected a generic message but this seemed to personally address his issue. So if you have access to your atap and have email correspondence on, then send them a message it was about 24 hours for a response.

I’m not going to lie this is rather annoying to the point the boyfriend sent them a message through the atp site asking if we got forgotten after the path lift or what lol. Shoot I didnt even get the federal ddd that I was expecting. I filed 1/11. accepted 1/14 and was changed to we are proceeding your return but my transcripts still don’t have a date or a 846.
The past few years I have gotten the 21-22nd as did dates the following Saturday after path lifts but not this time.Thanks Trumpy, that shut down could not have come at a letter time, Someone needs to build a wall around the White House to protect us from him lol.

I remember back when you would file and have it DD in 3-4 days. Then the week or two wait was on for federal…. shoot these days after path started your one of the lucky ones if you see your refund before your federal return.
Maybe Tuesday as Monday is a holiday those of us still waiting will see some movement towards being done this year. -

I filed on the 29th, Accepted 29th. My deposit came in a couple hours ago on my account. I also use USAA so I generally get things about a day ealier than expected. Good luck to others waiting.

Today I called because it showed a notice on my Acct for $39 being offset and asked if it would still be DD and she told me yes, it was released on 2-8 and to give 3-5 business days from there but she expected it to be deposited tomorrow . And tonight I got the text -

My Arkansas just deposited into my credit union account. I just got a text from the state saying it was issued yesterday. My amount never zeroed out like some are saying. Still showed that it had not been issued at noon today when I checked.

When you log onto atap and check your acct.
It shows a balance. Once the balance / refund is approved it zeros out. -

I just discovered they give you the option to get text alerts again this year. Just hit next on the screen where it tells you that you’ve been processed but no refund sent. the text came the night before I got my money last year. just a helpful tidbit since I thought they weren’t doing the text alerts this year lol :)

OK…so I just called and spoke to a nice lady named Jada. She pulled up my information and advised me that tax season started 1-29 and anything filed before then was not being recognized or released in their system. Now, this makes no sense to me as H&R Block program knew that and held my return for filing on 1-29 even though I completed it 1-26. But, Jada told me she would forward mine on for review and that process would take about a week and then it would be released a couple of days after that. My suggestion is for anybody that is still waiting to call as yours may somehow be hung up in the system for some reason. My hold time was only about 10 minutes. I hope you all get Jada or somebody else that is as nice as she is.

Processed 1/25, still no refund. One friend was processed a day or two later and got his last week. Another friend’s processed at the beginning of February and got hers around 2 weeks ago.

So, do they not issues refunds in the order of processing? I submitted on 1-26 and was processed on 1-30. I have received nothing. I think I saw where Lioness was processed on 2-1 and she received on 2-24. Anybody have ideas on this? Also, about 3 weeks after I was processed I signed up for the text alert. Do you guys think that may also cause a delay?

@lioness not that federal was that much for me this year but I totally get ya, it is 70% gone in two days lol. On the bright side a lot of necessary crap that has been in neglect was taken care of and being broke was worth lightening the burden.

@Singlemom in Ar Arkansas does not allow fees to be collected from your refund for tax preparation. I have no idea why but they send a paper check when you elect to have fees removed from your federal return. -

I know I called just a few mins ago and was told three to four weeks. I explained that 4 weeks was up for me yesterday as I filed and was accepted the 22nd of January. I agree with you both I never feel relived until it is all done.

Nothing for me today yet either, I’m holding out hope for this evening since most people I know that got the text got it in the evening. My bank doesn’t show federal but then again, it never shows pending anything. it will just be in the bank the day they receive it and will say pending but will let me spend it still lol.

Nothing today so far but it is still early. I can see my federal pending in my bank but of course they will hold it till like 2am on the 22nd.
I am more confused than worried, I know they are done with the darn thing because I owed the state 36 bucks and my return was for 414 and when I log into the ATP I see a positive balance of 378. Meaning they already even took the offset off the total. I figured they would hold them until the 15th like federal was doing, however I have seen friends and family with the same credits who filed after me already spent theirs lol.
I mean it is not like I am scared that I am not going to get it, I just like to monitor the process to make sure if I need to take action I can in a timely manner. -

@Lioness Nothing today either. I just checked mine and the boyfriend checked his and the balance is still sitting there. The only reason I use that as a guide is I have always seen the balance and then it will be zeroed out and usually the following day I get the deposit or a day or so later. I been pretty much getting up and checking and then checking before I go to bed. Trying to get an idea of what to expect each year and yanno it will work for a few years and then the system changes and we have to figure out the new formula all over again lol.
I have mine going direct deposit and there is nothing in future view (I can see my pay checks 4 days ahead with it) and We will have a bit longer wait on the boyfriends because his will be paper check as he had fees deducted with TT and they don’t allow DD when you do that with AR state returns.@sunriselops It does seem to be how it has went for many of us here. However I have seen others get theirs in about two weeks but my three weeks was the 12th as mine says it was finished the 22nd of Jan.
As far as Federal goes I expect a update with a DDD tonight after midnight when the system updates because the path message was gone as of last nights update and replaced with the amount back and went back to the processing message. I just can’t view transcripts because I use prepaid cell and checking so no credit for me.

This is for sure the 2nd year that I have waited like this and it is why I am assuming the Path thing has a bit to do with it. Prior to two years ago I would file around the last week of Jan-first week of Feb and always had state by Feb 5th. I would never see a positive balance in my tax account either, as soon as they finished the return it was on its way to my account.
You would figure that as the years went on the system would get better not worse as far as speed/accuracy/fraud detection goes but I guess not. I’m not in dire need of the funds but my Birthday is the 25th and I would like to go out like I just won a $500 scratch off lol.@AB Lmao JG Wentworth is probably on retainer for the IRS, because when we owe them that statement surely applies.

My Brother in law, who filed weeks after me and my boyfriend got his today. No warning or text even though he signed up for them. He had No EIC or ACTC. Mine has been sitting in my tax account from the 22nd of Jan and the boyfriend’s has been on his as a positive balance on his tax account from the 26th. I am just going to take that as a sign that everything is fine and we are both just waiting on a deposit.
As far as federal goes we have both been weeklies for years. I assume we will get a deposit date on the 17th as that will be the first Saturday after the 15th.

I was finally able to log into my tax account and I can pull up the return. I still don’t have a deposit but It shows on TT that it was accepted and processed on 1/23 but by what they have it was done on 1/22. Filed Jan 19th processed on 23. Called and said it will take 3 weeks, so this Tuesday will be the 3rd week. So we will see! And it took 3 weeks last year, due to itentity theft, basically holding it a little longer. I also put my number to get notification when sent to the bank. So look to you not getting your state until 3 weeks after it’s processrd.

I called the # on the page that says my refund has been processed but not sent, asked the lady there what this message meant as I had not ever seen it in previous years, she advised me that it started last year and that they won’t be issuing refunds till the 3rd or 4th week of February.

Did you guys see where you can enter your email or phone number to receive a notice when your AR refund will be issued? Once you put in the information on the state inquiry page hit the “next” button at the bottom and it will take you to that screen. I don’t know if it means they are holding it till Mid February or not but I know last year it seemed to take longer. I got federal last year before state and that was the first time that had ever happened. I know in this very thread from last year I stated that for over a week I could see the positive balance sitting in my tax account because it was done and credited but not removed and paid until I would say two weeks after I saw it there. The stupid tracker was of no help last year either, it would tell me that they were done but when I called I was told they were not ready and about 10 other unrelated answers by some of the rudest people. I think last year was about 17 days total from filing to getting paid. Good luck to everyone this year, I just got the Path message on Federal today finally.

I’m still waiting, I filed 2/4, it showed proccessed and the positive balance of $374 sitting in my arkansas taxpayer account as of 2/6. From 2/6 to 2/16 it sat there in my tax account. On 2/17 my tax account showed zero, I am assuming they sent it because I didn’t owe any debts this year. I elected direct deposit but still nothing in my account or pending. I have my Federal Return releasing to me tonight after midnight so I dunno. I have never in 15 years have had my Federal before my state tax return…this year it looks like it is going that way.

Called state at 8AM this morning. 15 minute wait. At first she told me to give them up to four weeks of BUSINESS days for me to receive my refund. Once she actually keyed in my info she told me the refund had been approved on 2/17 and to expect it to post in 7-10 business days. Which would put my 10 day mark at 3/3. She told me it had been released to my bank and now they just have to post it. Needless to say I’ll be calling the bank at 9 AM. Will update if anything changes. Hope this helps!

I called too and they told me my return had been processed but my refund was still processing and the generic everything is taking longer this year to prevent fraud.
I’m just saying, it’s all worked really well for me in the past, what was so wrong with how it was before? Why did they have to “fix” it? So frustrating.

My ar state refund says it was processed the 31st. Which means it’s done processing so I’m wondering why I still haven’t had a message change on the atap site and still haven’t seen the check. I will be calling today to ask are they holding refunds until the 15th for those who have the EITC ……. Tashag did you receive your refund? At least they can release those checks geesh!

Been waiting since 19th with the processed message, deposit within 5-7 days. Called on 31st said it was sent the day before. It is 2/5/17 and haven’t seen anything yet.

Update:. I called the state office and the rep said mine was released on yesterday, I’m guessing I will get it tomorrow.

My state was accepted on the 27th and the site says I should receive my refund in 5 to 7 days. Friday will be the 7th day.

I was accepted on the 23rd and processed but haven’t received a thing.

Filed 1/18. Accepted 1/18. Site says processed on 1/19 and refund should be deposited in 5-7 days. I still have not received it.

I filed on 17th. Accepted by arkansas on 19th. Showing on their site as received and DD will be sent in 5-7 days. I called today to make sure I didn’t owe from a past year. Lady said my deposit will be sent on 24th.
