UPDATE…Looked at my USPS mail delivery and it shows my Economic Impact Payment debit card is in TODAYS mail! I had the same exact dates as everyone else on here, 1/4 & 1/18. I firmly believe you will all start to see either a check or that debit card start to arrive any day now.

Washington state is a community property and community income state. That means that no matter what your husband/wife are fully entitled to HALF of everything, even if they do not work.

This stimulus is 2020 tax year. They will hold it for 6 months before releasing it to the other ex spouse if they release it at all. You should be able to filenisnon it after some time.

I’m curious on the $4400 amount? My husband and I filed a IS form but we received our full amount of $2400 and $500 for our child. It seems the IRS is choosing who they wanna take the money from it really doesn’t seem consistent at all.

Lie to the bastard politician and tell them you are a Healthcare worker. Maybe they “might” have sympathy on you until they find out the truth.

Question: If you are using the “injured spouse” filing because you owe child support, then this stimulus they “might” be sending will get taken too right? I looked up “can a government stimulus be garnished” and it states that YES it will. What’s the point then? If they are sending it for a crisis, then why dont they override that garnishment?

There has been NO activity on my account or changes from the IRS. Looks like they are just ignoring my return.
