This came from the IRS website.

      Question
Can I file my return electronically even though I am filing a Form 8379, Injured Spouse Allocation?
      Answer
Yes, you can file Form 8379 electronically with your tax return.

      Generally:

If you file Form 8379 with a joint return electronically, the time needed to process it is about 11 weeks.
If you file Form 8379 with a joint return on paper, the time needed is about 14 weeks.
If you file Form 8379 by itself after a joint return has already been processed, the time needed is about 8 weeks.

Steph, when your return is accepted the wmr should show 1 bar. When approved 2 bars (I think) and then when it is complete and a dd day then I believe it is supposed to go to 3 bars.
Last year I got my taxes back before the shutdown and it still showed my return still being processed message like what is showing now. Smh

Question – what does everyone mean when they refer to bars on the WMR website. E-filed and accepted on 3/3 with IS form. Just shows status of “still processing”. Transcripts show nothing for 2020. I was hoping to get our taxes back first part of May. (8 weeks). Anyone else in the same boat?

Yeah kayla, that sounds about right. But knowing the IRS it will probably take longer. I have heard of people who are STILL waiting for their taxes from last year. Ugh so frustrating

So technically joyce98362 yours should take 11 weeks which would be April 29th. I filed 2/10 accepted 2/12. Refund was offset 2/24. Sent my IS by certified mail irs recieved on 3/8. So my 8 weeks should be up may 3rd. I still have as of March 15th. Processing date of 3/8.

I just noticed that a lot of people were talking about 8 weeks since accepted and such so I thought I would clear it up. Sorry if I burst any bubbles….

I filed 1/30, accepted 2/11 and have been stuck ever since. No updates no movement at all.
Stuck on still being processed on wmr as well. Transcript is showing a as of date and processing date of 3/8. And it is way past that…lol
