Help. Just spoke with IRS and they said I filed and injured spouse form. I accidentally opened the form when filing my taxes but did not fill it out. Now they are saying 11 weeks to process my return. Anyone to through this?

I did the same thing. Filed it just in case of collections and my accountant didn’t inform me if would hold up the process. We have no offsets but are expecting it within a year for some student loans. I have not had any update to my transcripts. It’s been 6 weeks as of today for me and no return or update yet.

I have legitimately filed Injured Spouse in years past and I have never had to wait the full 11 weeks. I believe the most I’ve ever waited was 5 or 6 weeks.
