I filed 1/19/2017. Approved the same day. Still worried about some student loan debt so I called the offset hotline and it said I owe have no debt. Is this good news? Or is the hammer gonna drop anyday now? Thanks and good luck!

You bay be offset for MANY different resons! Some will not “reveal” themselves on the offset hotline, and some will. These offsets can be big or small. Let’s work together and talk them through.

            OFFSET HOTLINE: 800.304.3107

800.808.4262 This number was listed by “me in GA” as an IRS taxes owed phone number. I have not called it so I am not sure what this will get you.

You can call and ask an agent to pull up your “account” and go over it with them. I know because I did this last week and got specifics. Also, I believe that if you have a taxes owed offset you would have received a letter/bill in the mail. I have. That is why I originally called the IRS. I wanted to find out what was going on. I was also informed that I would be receiving a certified letter about my TAX DEBT, which I did.

When you call the Offset hotline and would like to speak with C.S.R…The options are as follows ……Option 1, Option 2 and then Option 5. Although they aren’t of my help. They won’t tell you how much the debt is but they will tell you if it’s been paid.

Tenika SugaWallz Gamble-Cormier If you ask how much the debt is they will say that they will provide you with the number of whom you have the debt and you can contact them.
