IMF = Individual Master File
BMF – Business Master File
Dead Cycle for IMF = 1st (3) weeks of Jan. IRS will attempt to post in the 4th week 201704…which is 1-23 thru 1-27.

Maybe this will help with understanding when we might get our money:
There are 3 cycles: Processing, Production and Posting (that’s when we get dd)
The 2 most important cycles for most of us are Production and Posting Cycles.
We are currently in cycle 4 for this year.
