Major key alert 🚨 🚨🚨🚨🚨…. finally after a month I got my two bars and a DDD of 2/22 this morning filed 1/20 earlier than normal this year and accepted 1/22 so the update is a blessing… Wishing everyone here starts their weekend with the same good news.February 17, 2018 at 5:13 am #4221922
Hey everyone good news,
I filed Feb. 4th, accepted the 5th. I just checked where’s my refund and I’ve been approved with a mail out date of feb. 26(paper check). Just to confirm I was an Eitc filer. Everyone should be updated this morning. Uh, what a relief!February 16, 2018 at 1:31 pm #4220685
I filed on 1/20 and accepted 1/22 path act disappeared today generic refund processing message but I’m here at work mad cause my friend also claimed credits filed 2/2 has two bars with a DDD of 2/21. So I’m guessing who ever filed early this year they holding holding holding ours cause I should have gotten a DDD way before her. Don’t understand IRS method of processing!February 16, 2018 at 8:08 am #4220139
If youre showing that mssg today on wmr, i don’t think you are going to see a deposit today. I’m assuming that the majority of us who had the PATH mssg is now on another generic mssg stating that our refund is being processed. I wouldn’t doubt it if we all received our refunds later next week. Again, this is just based on my experience and what i think. Hopefully we all see an update tmrw with perhaps a ddd. 😉February 16, 2018 at 4:09 am #4219849
Well I know last year for me I filed 1/11/17 and had my direct deposit date by the 11th and the refund deposited on the 13th, which was well before my ddd of the 17th. I was hoping this year would be same.
I filed on 1/12/18 and my return was accepted on 1/22/18 which was the first day the IRS was testing small batches of returns before opening it up for business on the 29th. So I was hopeful I would be fast tracked to get my refund before anyone else. :(
I just got off the PATH generic message and I’m on the “Your return as been accepted and we are processing it.” So I’m crossing my fingers and hoping I get my deposit today (Feb 16th) or by the 21st at the latest. Hoping and praying….that’s all I can do. I’m gonna be mad if I’m stuck waiting until the 27th.February 13, 2018 at 7:33 am #4215103
Did anyone wake up this morning with good news about their refund??February 12, 2018 at 11:50 pm #4214937
Updates Saturday morning for me every year. For a deposit on the next Wednesday. So if it’s the same this year I should get a ddd this Saturday for the 21st but I’m thinking next Saturday for a ddd if the 28thFebruary 12, 2018 at 4:36 pm #4214554
I filled on 1/29/2018 and was accepted the same day, when I checked the other day it said I have to wait 21 days after it was accepted. Now it says some other stuff about “According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue refunds before mid-February for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.
Check Where’s My Refund in mid- to late February for your personalized refund status. It’s updated once a day and remains the best way to check the status of your refund.” what does this mean?February 10, 2018 at 9:51 am #4212443
I filed on 2/2/18 was accepted same day. Topic 152 has been on there the entire week except for weds it disappeared and then Thursday it was back. Still on one bar. I believe i am a weekly cycle from past times. I file with tax act.February 9, 2018 at 4:46 pm #4211665
Last year I filed on 2/3, never got the PATH message, WMR updated on 2/18 with a deposit date of 2/23 and I received my deposit on 2/23.February 9, 2018 at 3:42 am #4210587
The IRS said the same thing last year (deposits on or after 2/27) but I received mine on 2/22 and I filed a week after they started accepting returns. This year they accepted mine early 1/26. I currently have the PATH message ( I don’t remember when it updated) I will keep everyone posted with any changes.February 8, 2018 at 12:02 pm #4209755
Please anyone who gets a DDD before February 15 or the 27th please update us! I filed with HRblock on 02/05/18 and have been accepted on both state and federal and only have one bar as of today.February 4, 2018 at 3:59 am #4205339
Filed mine on January 29, 2018. Accepted the following day. Unable to get any information on Where’s My Refund.February 2, 2018 at 6:58 am #4203485
Filed with TT on 1/29/18. Accepted next day. As of the this morning 2/2/18 have a DDD on 2/6/18. Surprising since the IRS was not suppose to release funds till Mid to late February for EITC.January 24, 2018 at 12:35 pm #4199034
@kaykay – I meant to share that I did e-file with TurboTax on 01/18/2018 (4th year I’ve used them and LOVE them) and have one bar on IRS WMR site.January 24, 2018 at 12:31 pm #4199028
Hey gang! Last year I filed by 01/12/17 and got my return on 02/22. I filed with EITC. This year I filed on 01/18/2018 and have one bar on the IRS WMR site. For those of you who shared that you filed with EITC and got yours on 02/03 (@Charley)…thank you for sharing. I’m PRAYING some of ours who filed with the credit will still make it into the test batches. I’m seeing on other forums that people did get theirs much earlier than Feb. 15th. Here’s hopin’ to ALL of us!January 24, 2018 at 10:40 am #4199003
I filed early last year and received my refund on 2/3/17, well before the date given by the IRS for EITC refunds.January 24, 2018 at 7:30 am #4198966
Have you E-filed yet? If so do you have bars or none? DDD?January 23, 2018 at 5:20 pm #4198892
That’s what they said last year as well but I ended up getting mine sooner then that, not saying I got it before the 15th because we know that’s not possible but I didn’t have to wait till the 27th either.
