Just wanted to make a topic for people to go to when they have been put under review and share their experiences.
Filed 1/12 HRB online. Accepted 1/30. I was processing 1/30,1/31, and 2/1 and finally updated to this:
We have received your tax return and it is being reviewed. You will receive a notice from us requesting additional information within 30 calendar days. You may not receive all or part of your refund until we receive and review the information we requested. If you need more information after you receive our notice, call the number on the notice.
Please do not contact us until you have received the notice as we are unable to take any action until then.

Ok, i havea unique story i’m sure…i’m still processing..my return is readyfor me I just have to lift this hold..its a ID theft thing..this chick did not for sure confirm this, but allthree agaents i talked to mentioned this as the most likly cause..
what sucks is i have to wait for this letter, it will tell me what i need to do or it will send me further into depression..says not to worry, she said only worry if WMR says something other then processing..lets hope.
don’t sleep till WMR updates…
sleep couple hours
Wait for mail..
live on this site to help me to the next day of waiting.
yesthis is mylife.
everything has fell to shit waiting on this return…saying” 2 things in life are certain-death,and taxes”. wish it were tax returns..
good luck everyone..i’ll let u know when i get my letter..calling is out for me from here on out..like doing the final sttretch ofa jail sentence in solitaryFebruary 11, 2013 at 11:00 am #7806
this lady is goinng to drive me crazy…she said if WMR says stillprocessing, then it is..give it the 21 days…don’t worry, easy 4 her to say..only have 5 daysleft in my original 21 days..now shes looking into it..had tosweet talk her..waiting nowFebruary 11, 2013 at 10:57 am #7804
I was told last week by H&R Block that most people don’t know they’ve been reviewed; that usually the irs rep tells them they are still processing. If a letter is sent, thrn it is either a math error, w2 amounts don’t match, or a dependent has either a wrong SS#, or is new, or was claimed by someone else last year. If a human has to look at it, a letter is sent….if the computer reviews it, your stuck in processing limbo until the next cycle.February 11, 2013 at 10:56 am #7803
This lady just said we would get a letter dated 2/25, and I asked why it took so long for a letter to go out, she said she didn’t know. I am going to call back later or tomorrow see if I can get someone more helpful.
The way she made it sound was they won’t even “review” it until after the date of the letter and that was why to allow an additional 60 days after the letter.February 11, 2013 at 10:55 am #7801
I know mine was looked at multiple times they dont know why i have a hold either just saying im under reviewFebruary 11, 2013 at 10:53 am #7800
Holly, I wonder if the rep even looked at your return. I have seen alot of people get the date of Feb 25th for various reasons…February 11, 2013 at 10:52 am #7799
both IRS ladies told me i have a hold they just dont know whyFebruary 11, 2013 at 10:52 am #7798
I dont have a letter yet but I know one is coming, this seems crazy so many people are in review, if they have to do a manual review there are alot of people that will be waiting a very long timeFebruary 11, 2013 at 10:51 am #7797
holloy u never got a letter,if so im scared. most people with holds have lettersFebruary 11, 2013 at 10:49 am #7796
said same thing’February 11, 2013 at 10:49 am #7794
mine haS SAME thing whole time…February 11, 2013 at 10:42 am #7791
@styxparadise: told them the holds department told us to call that number. (which they did)
@mrsdaw: same thing is has said since the 31th:
Refund Status Results
Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.
Please read the following information related to your tax situation:
Tax Topic 152, Refund InformationFebruary 11, 2013 at 10:35 am #7789February 11, 2013 at 10:34 am #7786
call and ask if there is a hold on your refund or account, if yes ask them why and if a letter was mailed out and if there was what kind of letter, ie: cp05 or 4464c or something like thatFebruary 11, 2013 at 10:32 am #7784
how did u get through with that number w/o a letterFebruary 11, 2013 at 10:31 am #7783
Holly i was told 45 days from the letterFebruary 11, 2013 at 10:17 am #7782
Just told we would get a letter DATED 2/25 wtf? ccpo5 or something like that. We were selected at random nothing is wrong, no red flags, no errors.
It can take 60 days AFTER the notice to get a refund.
So now I am saying WTF? We filed the 16th, accepted the 30th ordered transcripts 2/4 now we won’t get a letter until after the 25th and the “time” for processing don’t start until AFTER the date on the letter.February 11, 2013 at 10:14 am #7781
that number is 4 letters…February 11, 2013 at 10:00 am #7778
Called the “holds” line, nothing there but told us to call 1-800-829-0922……. So now we are on hold once again….February 11, 2013 at 9:50 am #7776
that hold department is only for previously unfilled returns, nothing else..good news i dont have a hold due to unfiled returns..
bad news, i have to wait 2 weeks for a letter. or he told me tocall 1040#, does he know what hell that isFebruary 11, 2013 at 9:47 am #7774
I have not received a letter yet. Both departments told me to wait the 21 days, that my return was being reviewed, but would only last another 7 days. This was Friday; and my 21 days would be over on the 19th.February 11, 2013 at 9:42 am #7772
impatientlyawaiting: I did received a 4464c letter dated Feb 1. I just do not have the time to go back to customer service department for another over 15 minute hold as I am at work. I will try them at lunch but no idea if not in refund hold department, not in error department where return is (guess sitting somewhere). She said the return started processing on the 28th and she said that some returns may have been picked out by computer in the test batches for review. She just said not her department and could not provide any further information. Seems like no one has a concrete answer outside of the fact my return was re sequenced for a cycle or 2 which I was told 2 weeks ago.February 11, 2013 at 9:37 am #7771
duece, did you receive a letter? IGMR keeps crashing when I try to view previous comments.February 11, 2013 at 9:35 am #7770
did they ever tell u u had a holdFebruary 11, 2013 at 9:34 am #7769
anyone call yet..on hold right now..fingerscrossedFebruary 11, 2013 at 9:34 am #7768
Just got off the phone with the refund hold department and was told there is nothing that shows I am on a hold and not their department and wanted to transfer me back to customer service. No errors, no upostable, no debt indicators.February 11, 2013 at 8:23 am #7759
I was told on 2 different occasions I should still receive refund within 21 days. Going to call the holds department as I have not spoken with them yet to find out what the issue is at 8 and hopefully get more insight on the letter received.February 11, 2013 at 8:21 am #7757
Has anyone got a letter or were told they were under review and recieved their money or a direct deposit date yet?February 11, 2013 at 7:23 am #7742
our status has not changed at all except wmr doesnt say under review it says processing expect refund in 21 days tax topic 152 and my friends currently is unavailable all of a suddenFebruary 10, 2013 at 11:36 pm #7712
Ive posted here that the best info on why return was being held was nbecause of potential fraud..this info came from a really nice lady…she alsosaid that i was flagged for having my girlfriend as a dependant..I just found out that B.S…IRS states as long as she makes less then 3500$-she only made 2000$, AND I PROVIDE HAVE HER SUPPORT, then ican claim her..
with that one lie i no longer elieve this lasy- becides what a wierd hold anyway..still complety clueless..February 10, 2013 at 10:07 pm #7701
The number to the IRS Refund Hold Department is : 866-897-3315February 10, 2013 at 8:49 pm #7687
does anyone know the irs holding department phone number?February 10, 2013 at 6:43 pm #7438
Sorry guys, 2013taxpayer is right…I jumped the gun on that article link. It was from 2012. Sorry for the confusion. Got excited when I saw light at the end of the tunnel I guess :(February 10, 2013 at 6:29 pm #7433
I can’t way to give the hold department a call I’m sure they know about this and will now take steps to give each of us our refunds be sure to update everyone with your call info as I will do the same . Don’t forget to pray tonight and ask God to let you have a understanding rep that can help you cause I’m all sure we really need our refunds in some type of way . Be blessed and a blessing ill be checking for more infoFebruary 10, 2013 at 6:01 pm #7425
@nevergonnagetit Thanks for the link…. it didnt say anything about the letters being sent but at least its admission of the glitch… Being that we know now it was a computer generated letter it makes sense… and plus of the magical 2/1 date sounds like they just might have something there… lolFebruary 10, 2013 at 5:38 pm #7421
that article was from last year :(February 10, 2013 at 3:49 pm #6354
This won’t get our refunds any faster, but may ease the minds of some. I was a 1/23 accept date:
http://www.wowt.com/news/headlines/138404734.html?mobile=yesFebruary 10, 2013 at 2:09 pm #6347
@kay kay i know hahaha…hope we get it soon!
@yvette63 that is what we are assuming because we’ve seen ppl who are actually under review have a code on wmr and hotline. with ours, it is just processing and we haven’t gotten an error code or some kind of irs ref code on both the wmr & hotline. we’ll see…i’m gonna call tomorrow to hold dept and see if i get the same answer.February 10, 2013 at 9:42 am #6315
Okay, I filed on 1/30 and was accepted on the same day. On both WMR and the IRS hotline I have been getting the same generic 21 day message. Saturday, I got the dreaded 4464c letter in the mail. It has a 0 code on it. However, when I check WMR and the hotline, I’m still getting the same 21 day processing message. Is there a chance that this letter was just a glitch?February 10, 2013 at 9:39 am #6313
the wmr and hotline both say processing today and refund will be available in 21 days and no letter sent out yet…but when called on friday was told refund on hold and under review…quite confusingFebruary 10, 2013 at 9:28 am #6312
I don’t understand how 3 reps said its still processing and one says its in review call back and its processing?February 10, 2013 at 9:18 am #6311
I found some good reading: http://www.irs.gov/irm/part21/irm_21-004-001r.html from what I can gather, those who are “still processing” have been resequenced. These are the codes that appear on tbe IRS rep’s screen when they open our returns.February 10, 2013 at 8:10 am #6307
So I’ver called IRS, told me that it looks like potential fraud is holding my return..she wasn’t sure..have yet to get a letter..accepted 26th, order trans 2nd..
I am thinking when i do get this letter is it going to be the identity affidavid..if so could I fill that out now..
Anyone ever get a hold for this reason..
i filed a claim on 2009, stating my taxes were done w/o my knowledge…one visit, i never followed up because it was my ex girlfriend (daughters mother), i just wanted to let go..’
lady on the phone knew this whole story and she really thinks with all the little notes on my account that this 2009 fraud stuff is comming up…
Wierd ecause the last 3 years went through nno problem, and this year is the excate same everything-(except i made a few more $)February 10, 2013 at 7:11 am #6303
Just to confirm if there is a code on your letter 4463C would it appear after the C? I just wan to have my facts straight when I call the holds department in the morning. I hope so as two reps told me I should still receive refund within 21 days and this error code is nothing to worry about. When I asked what the error code was the one rep said it was an “internal” code. I did confirm I was re sequenced also.
For the first few times I called I acted like I knew nothing about the letter and asked if the following:
Are there any debt indicators on my account: No
Are there any flags on my account : No
Are there any holds on my account : No
Has my return be re sequenced : after putting me on hold … Yes
Do you have a DDD for me: Not showing one but it should be within 21 days
Why did I receive a letter 4464C: Put me on hold to go and find the letter…aked me what the letter said again trying to confirm things and then told me this code is nothing to be alarmed about. As he searched for a reason he asked me how much was refund and told him over 8k and he stated “ah ok that is why you may have received the letter”
1. File 1/20, accepted as part of test batch 1/25 IRS rep says really accepted 1/28 (as of Friday Return not processed yet per rep)
2. No Education Credits
3. I can only order account transcript which I received and it is blank
4. Just says processing on App and WRM and 21 should receive refund
5. Received 4464C dated 2/1/13
6. Return over 8k
7. EIC, W-2, 2 dep
8. Same job last 10 years, same dependents as last year, address, similar refund amount to last yearFebruary 10, 2013 at 6:05 am #6298
okay I think I jumped the gun with that blog post… disregard… my head hurts from reading that one….lol but long story short…. TT had a huge mess up and had to give everyone there filing fees in 2010…February 10, 2013 at 5:39 am #6297
@2013taxpayer …. don’t feel bad you are not the only one… lol… but at this point as long as it doesn’t say under review… I can cope with that… not happy @ all but hoping that no news is good news at least for nowFebruary 10, 2013 at 5:34 am #6296
Web searching found this topic…. sounds similar to what is going on with some of us…February 10, 2013 at 2:37 am #6291
still processing *sigh*February 10, 2013 at 2:36 am #6290
i assume so deuce1911, i have the same thing as u.February 10, 2013 at 12:48 am #6284
Just looked at my letter says letter 4464c 0
Does this men i have no code?February 10, 2013 at 12:31 am #6281
We are sorry Where’s My Refund is currently unavailable. Please try again later or call the Refund Hotline at 1-800-829-1954.February 9, 2013 at 11:49 pm #6277
Also got the review message on the wmr site . . For those who received only their federal witheld without the eic portion, how long did you receive that after you got the status on wmr. And have you received your letter before they deposited it? I just got that message yesterday and was wondering about how long before I can at least see some kind of deposit.February 9, 2013 at 11:40 pm #6275
okay who broke the hotline… and WMR… jk jk… @squidney2k1 sometimes a new bundle of joy can flag the system… especially a new SS number… if you called and they said there wasn’t a problem I wouldn’t worry as much… if you don’t get your return or get a letter with a code… then start worrying… i posted the info on the codes a few pages up so you can look….i also think that all of this transcript checking is causing lots of problems… any one with a computer knows that they some time do what they want and if you keep forcing it to do something it gets mad at you and starts thinking with that stupid hour glass…so after 15 minutes you have to shut it down and start all over…. now imaging that times 9 million…but i also could be wrong….I am no tax expert by any means but after all of this drama i know could very well know more than those mean people telling us just to wait…. I am more so trying to reassure myself more than anybody else but if I can ease other people tension at the same time why not… lolFebruary 9, 2013 at 11:18 pm #6272February 9, 2013 at 11:00 pm #6271
@squidney2k1 i had been getting the under review notice got letter today im being audited even though when i call the reps told me i was not under review and even gave me a dd 2/18.
good luckFebruary 9, 2013 at 10:55 pm #6270
1. e-Filed 1/25 through H&R Block. Accepted 1/30
2. No ed form
3. Ordered a 2012 return transcript 2/7 (WMR at the time still said processing; the bar was long gone)
4. No letter received
5. WMR says “under review/take action” that I should get a letter. Rep said my return does not show to be under review through them
6. Return $8,700, up from $5,600 last year
7. Two W-2 forms, HOH, EIC, 3 dependents, but this year I had additional withholdings (1 reason for the higher return this year) and a new baby for a dependent
8. New address for the first time in 7 yearsFebruary 9, 2013 at 10:06 pm #6266
@Mega I’m not saying every last “under review” is a glitch I’ve gotten confirmation that mine was indeed a glitch due to the testing that they did so I basically said if you had a similar situation as mine then it could very well be…i posted that a few pages ago sorry wasn’t trying to give false hope…BUT being audited and under review are totally different and not to be confused.February 9, 2013 at 10:02 pm #6265
great idea thank you so much!!!!! i will keep u postedFebruary 9, 2013 at 10:00 pm #6264
@pb send what you got and then send some more, overload them so that they have more than enough to get you processed…goodluck and keep us postedFebruary 9, 2013 at 9:58 pm #6263
@mrsdaw could be a glitch but also know a girl who had no bars on wmr and she was being auditedFebruary 9, 2013 at 9:55 pm #6262
@ mrs daw thank you i will be faxing this hugh stack of papers tomorrow morning bright and early. i have birth certificates for all three kids, socials, report cards, transcripts for one, prescription receipts with their names and address, rental agreement and letter from my land lord. i sure hope this is enough. maybe i should wait til tuesday in case i need more letters from the school.February 9, 2013 at 9:53 pm #6260
Accepted 1/23 in test batch
No special forms, no dependents
Cannot order return transcript
Received 4464c dated 2/1, no code, just 0
WMR still and has always says generic 21 day message
Refund less than 4k.February 9, 2013 at 9:53 pm #6259
Tried to check so I could post the exact message but WMR is currently unavailable, many folks woke up to 2/13 ddd so maybe its updating for the 2/14’s or maybe its just flooded with a bunch of people lolFebruary 9, 2013 at 9:51 pm #6257
@pb ugh that sucks sorry you have to go through that. Hopefully you can get that fixed as quickly as possible and still get your refund by 2/18
@holly my WMR says 21 day processing message with a status bar
and I forget who I read earlier but the tax topic 152 isn’t bad or indicative of review just general info about direct deposit, I only commented because someone asked about having 151February 9, 2013 at 9:45 pm #6256
HollyD same thing here since the 30th day one for meFebruary 9, 2013 at 9:38 pm #6255
So does WMR say still processing or something else for everyone else?
Refund Status Results
Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.
(Note: it has said this from day one, never changed, never had a “status bar” either)February 9, 2013 at 9:21 pm #6251
i claim my 2 nieces and 1 nephews, they live with me. last year i claimed i only claimed 1 niece and 1 nephew but this year my sister dropped me off another one, my sister is a bit of a loserFebruary 9, 2013 at 9:12 pm #6250
@pb, is this the first year you have claimed your children? Most of us under review have filed the same, with the same dependents for years?February 9, 2013 at 9:02 pm #6249
ugh my return has said under review for a week. i talked to to irs reps first one said no problems and it would be just a little bit longer. the second was from the holds dept. he said no hold no flags no problem and gave me a date of 2/18 for my refund. today i received a letter im being audited i need to send proof of qualified dependent which i have and birth certificates which i also have. does anyone know how long it will take after i fax them the papers?February 9, 2013 at 8:49 pm #6247
@kay they were talking about the Tax Topic and I absolutely agree it has to be a glitch! After reading other forums people WMR actually say under review our says processing…I guess we are just in this for the long hall now what is this cp05 that everyone is talking about?February 9, 2013 at 6:45 pm #6243
I have no codes under WMR or the hotline they both say processing as usual… Now the code you that are getting are from the hotline or are you talking about that Tax topic at the very bottom of the WMR screen if so that is just reading material about the refund… I will check the codes for those that have that under the hotline cause i have no clue what they mean…I also see a pattern with the people who filed and early and those to filed on the first two days of tax season… my personal opinion as of today is the letter was a glitch…now The hotline people may really be under review…. but dont flip out cause from what I am reading it can be anything from a math error to like the earlier post someone else claimed a child then a new person claimed the same child… that’s why the codes…. They have been reviewing returns for that reason cause it is very common people sell there kids “not literally” of course but they let someone claim there kids and spit the refund…. and its more common then you would think…EIC gives like 5000 for two kids so that’s one reason why the review… I know that’s not the problem for me cause I have claimed my brat for more than 5 years… I know we are stressing out… i will post back with more info soonFebruary 9, 2013 at 6:20 pm #6241
yup same boat at least some of you have a status bar, I never even had that in the past 10 days or whenever they started processingFebruary 9, 2013 at 6:16 pm #6239
@mrsdaw I could only order my transcript under my old address but the letter came to my new address… a lot has been happening WOW 11 pages… had class today so I got to catch up…February 9, 2013 at 6:10 pm #6238
Bigtimeny1 sorry that was an old message from yesterday I just reposted it. That’s all the info she gave me. Are you in the same situation?February 9, 2013 at 6:02 pm #6237
1. I filed early too, 1/24, got email 1/26 that I was accepted early
2. No Ed
3. I haven’t ordered transcripts
4. no code on WMR or hotline, haven’t got a letter yet
5. Rep said no letter mailed yet
6. Return over 9k
7. EIC, W-2, 3 dep
8. Everything exactly the same as last year. Same dependents, address, and employer.February 9, 2013 at 5:28 pm #6233
hackney2009 what did they say?February 9, 2013 at 5:15 pm #6231
I called today and actually got a nice rep on the first try. She checked my info and told me the small deposit I received was just my federal withholding. (Which I already figured). She then told me I technically wasn’t under review but my return was pulled because I filed my niece and she was filed by someone else last year. She said my return was in a pile and it’s a possibility it will be examined by a IRS agent within 90 days!! She said its also a possibility that they would kick it out and send out my refund but for right now my return is in some kind of retarded IRS limbo state. Long story short: I’m pretty much fucked until they decide they’re done with meFebruary 9, 2013 at 5:11 pm #6230
i havent received a letter yet. when i check WMR i get the same message as floridagirl. i posted what i was told when i called the irs yesterday. ill repost it.February 9, 2013 at 5:11 pm #6229
they haven’t asked for any additional info from yet. mine still shows still processing w/the topic 152 ever since 1/30th.February 9, 2013 at 5:07 pm #6228
It does state I will receive letter asking for additional information and may only recieve part of the refund. Is this what evryone else got?February 9, 2013 at 4:36 pm #6221
if you’re being audited, you will actually get a letter from IRS saying you’re audited. being reviewed and audited are two different things.February 9, 2013 at 4:27 pm #6220
oh sorry, i didn’t know topic 152 was something to worry about. i always have that code ever since i’ve efiled and i’ve efiled for 10 yrs now. but i do have the 152.February 9, 2013 at 3:34 pm #6213
I don’t have a 151 I have 152 which talks about receiving your money. Did you guys with 151 get a letter in the mail? Or maybe you both have an offset…have you tried to call and find out if that is the case?February 9, 2013 at 3:33 pm #6212
I have the 151 code and I received my federal withholding.. everybody i talked to is telling me this means im one of the ones thats actually being audited. is this true? anybody ever had this happen to them before?February 9, 2013 at 3:20 pm #6210
i don’t have any code on the wmr or hotline. just says still processing.February 9, 2013 at 3:04 pm #6209February 9, 2013 at 2:44 pm #6208
DID ANYONE UNDER REVIEW GET THE 151 CODE?February 9, 2013 at 2:43 pm #6207
if you have a code it would be top right after ltr 4464cFebruary 9, 2013 at 2:32 pm #6205
from reading, i believe they said kinda to the top right corner of the letter.February 9, 2013 at 2:30 pm #6204
Where would the cp code be and would it say cp05?February 9, 2013 at 2:27 pm #6203
And WMR still says processingFebruary 9, 2013 at 2:26 pm #6202
1 w2 same as last year 2 dep EIC CC refund over 7K resequenced and then told letter was sent on the 1st no CP code mines also states 0 there is something wrong here I absolutely think there was a glitch and we need to call Monday to get thoes holds lifted like the other 2 folks did ill be calling early laugh out loud .February 9, 2013 at 2:25 pm #6201
I also spoke with 3 agents this past week that said no review , off sets or red flags, I was accepted on 1/31February 9, 2013 at 2:15 pm #6200
@ Kay Kay , .. I had a 1040ez no additional deduction of any kind, no children…attempted to order transcript the same day letter was mailedFebruary 9, 2013 at 1:23 pm #6192

3.ordered both transcripts 2/5
5.irs said i was going to be mailed a cp05 next week(not sure if I believe them)
8.same address for the past 3-4yrs
The only think I did different this year was claim my daughter, she is 3, her mother claimed her for the past 2 years, so that gave me the hoh ctc and made me qualify for the eic this yr. I spoke to 4 reps yesterday. 2 said my refund had a hold and was under review, the 3rd said something about a problem with last years return which i was transfered and found out that was not the problem. Called the 4th time and they looked it up took 30 minutes kept coming back on the line to let me know he was still checking on it. He didnt say anything about a hold or review. Said Im still in the begining of processing and he doesnt see how they could have put it on hold or review so early on in processing. I have not had a status bar since I filed. All wmr and the hotline says is that im processing and a direct date will be provided when available. Oh by the way one of the first 2 reps said they were going to mail out a cp05 next week but none of the other 3 reps said anything about that.February 9, 2013 at 1:17 pm #6190
I think there is a glitch in the matrix… lol…. we all have similar timeframes were early filers and are getting more than 7k back….also CTC and EIC… FLAG on the play…. lol…. same thing happen last year…. all of us were prob sent back though the system flagged cause our info was ran twice and poof… review letter… or at least I hope…. i swear if you google this topic one year to the day you will find exactly the same issue… I think the IRS computers went coo coo and started sending out letter for most of the early filers like was said earlier… now as for the WMR review codes…. those people may very well be under review….WHO KNOWS…. still searching for more info… but as of today WMR still says processing….February 9, 2013 at 1:01 pm #6187
@whitneyf haven’t seen any recent post’s from you? Do you have any updated news? Maybe you got your refund? Any letter yet?February 9, 2013 at 12:17 pm #6175

ITS MY MONEY AND I WANT IT NOW!!!! lol but seriously I do, I told my hubbs that next year I am NOT filing early. I filed early last year and was stuck in limbo and now the same this year blah!February 9, 2013 at 12:08 pm #6171
Filed the 30th…accepted the 30th….no clue when I went under review. Ordered account transcript (for court) on the 5th. Nothing in the mail at all. EIC, 2 dep, self employed, HOH. Nothing has changed since prior years. Return of 5k. I’m a childcare provider.February 9, 2013 at 12:07 pm #6170
1. Early Filer
2. No Ed Form
3. Ordered Acct Transcript/Can’t order Return
4. No code for letter
6. Return over 15k
7. EIC, CTC, CCC [Earned Income, Child Tax, Child Care Credit]
8. New Address
@kay your return goes to the address in which you typed in the beginning so if you typed your old addy then you wont see it at your new one. My local post man said that government mail does not get forwarded even if you selected to have your mail forwarded so that might be why you don’t have your account transcript yetFebruary 9, 2013 at 12:03 pm #6168
Wmr still says 21 days….and nothing about a review. My 21 days will be over on the 18th….which is approx 7 days from now….which is how long my review was going to take….hmmmmmm……February 9, 2013 at 12:00 pm #6166

4. no code for letter at all
5. Letter sent 2/01
6. Return over 7k
7. EIC, CTC,P&L(profit n loss) self employment
8. New address… but pulled transcript under old
BTW… just checked the mail no account transcript 7 days later…
Trying to find a method to this madness… if I am over stepping…. please say so and I will tone it down…February 9, 2013 at 11:54 am #6165
yeah my letter did no have a code eitherFebruary 9, 2013 at 11:52 am #6163
@impatiently & fnr That’s what the rep told me that returns that were accepted early were tested went through the full process and at the point of refund the letter was generated because IRS was not accepting returns only testing the system. So now the returns are being accepted and our returns have been re sequenced and are really processing now. Explains why most letters have a 0 and not an actual code and most WMR’s say 21 day processingFebruary 9, 2013 at 11:47 am #6162
That cp05 I’m not sure what it is I have a letter like Kay where there is no additional code just a zero so from what I was told I was being re sequenced after being apart of a test batch, @swiggins your wmr is totally different from mines as I’ve always and still have the 21 day message. See what it says Monday and if not try to call the holds department see what they say.
@fnr when I spoke to regular reps they never mentioned being reviewed the first time I said I was afraid of i.d theft and then the rep opened my full account put me on hold and came back with the review. When I called other reps they too said they didn’t see anything so I always mentioned that I received a letter [at that point I really hadn’t] and it was the same thing they put me on hold came back and said “I just need to do what the letter says and wait” 1 rep said it was for my protection that they hold the funds…I never got a straight forward answer until speaking to the rep from the holds department.
WMR still gives 21 day processing message
Can’t order return transcripts
No education credits just EIC, W2’S, claimed my 2 children, husband still in military I happened to work 2 different jobs and my kids went to a new daycare this yearFebruary 9, 2013 at 11:43 am #6161
swiggins2001 did your status bar dissapeer or do you have the bar and has it ever gone away?February 9, 2013 at 11:32 am #6159
wmr stated 2/4-2/7 that we were under review and i finally ordered both my transcripts on 2/7 and went back to processing on 2/8. spoke to irs rep yesterday and she said we’re under review and should receive a letter dated 2/25 if there’s additional information needed cp05 but the only code on wmr states tax topic 152 and hotline only says processing?????February 9, 2013 at 11:29 am #6157
@duece….I was told the same thing….but no letter…yet.February 9, 2013 at 11:21 am #6156
i have no code either…just a 0.February 9, 2013 at 11:09 am #6154
its starting to look like a pattern for us maybe were ok i hopeFebruary 9, 2013 at 11:07 am #6153
I was told by 3 agents 2 after i recieved letter dated 2/1 the letter is nothing to be alarmed about. Also should expect refund within 21 day time frame from 28th which is 2/17.February 9, 2013 at 10:51 am #6152
your more than welcome… I’m like you I wanna know…. lol…. that letter scared the crap out of me…
also this where I got the info about the codes and what they mean just so everyone doesn’t I’m just randomly throwing the possibility in the air…February 9, 2013 at 10:46 am #6151
THANKS KAY KAY LIKE I SAID I SPOKE TO 2 REPS FROM IRS THIS WEEK AND THEY NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A REVIEWFebruary 9, 2013 at 10:38 am #6149
oh and BTW if you google the letter you will see the exact same thing happen to A LOT of people last year on 2/1…February 9, 2013 at 10:36 am #6148
I think it was I have a letter from the first too… if you look in the upper right had corner it is supposes to be a CP code telling us the reason for it so when we call they have something to reference it to… but mines just says 0 I started looking at the codes to see what each one meant…. I can’t find anything for 0 at all… now it might be different for those who got there info from WMR but… I think this letter for now is a glitch… Plus from reading about the forms it is 100% computer generated… I’m doing some more research so I will let you guys know what else I find out…. trying to be as helpful as I can… :)February 9, 2013 at 10:34 am #6147
Did anyone call and get told it would only take an additional 7 days to process?February 9, 2013 at 10:30 am #6146
I have not received a letter yet….but have heard from several people that returns accepted at the VERY beginning of the season were kicked out as a result from a software problem.February 9, 2013 at 10:29 am #6145
I wonder if that was the glitch that we just got resequenced and just got the letter by mistakeFebruary 9, 2013 at 10:24 am #6144
fnr0420 .. my situation is identical word for word including same dates.February 9, 2013 at 10:11 am #6140
Ok i looked at the 4464c letter last night when I got home and It was mailed on 02/01/2013 accepted on 1/25 irs says 01/28 now with that being said I spoke to an IRS rep on 02/06/2013 and on 02/08/2013 and i asked both if there were any issues and both said NO and since the 1st WMR says still processing and 800 number also says still processing 21day msg no with all of that being said WOULD YOU ALL THINK ITS OK WAS I ONE THAT GOT A 4464 C LETTER PLEASE ANSWERFebruary 9, 2013 at 10:07 am #6138
I have the first orange section on wmr. Still processing…called yesterday, and was told I’m under review, but it should be cleared up in 7 days??? I ordered an account transcript (I need it for proof of filing for child support). I have not received a letter as of today. Same things I have filed for YEARS.February 9, 2013 at 9:46 am #6134
Does anyone since being accepted still have no status bar? Says still processing a direct deposit date will be provided when available?February 9, 2013 at 7:29 am #6112
@inshallah1 did you try to retrieve a transcript? or do you have a form that is delayed till next week? Just trying to help figure out why you got the letter? did you claim a new child this year? anything of that nature?February 9, 2013 at 5:48 am #6108
I have noticed that alot of people who were pulled into review have had the exact SAME tax returns the past few years! This makes me angry. Especially when you call and they tell you there are no red flags, and no letter sent out.February 9, 2013 at 5:33 am #6107
@ bigtimeny1…no I don’t see anything ref cp504…its seems to be a rather generic letter saying basically that I am under review and the IRS is stepping up measures to prevent fraud.
Only thing I can think that would triggering this is that I have a different employer after 7 yrs of the sameFebruary 8, 2013 at 10:18 pm #6097
man, i don’t have the patience to be on hold lolFebruary 8, 2013 at 9:50 pm #6093
Inshallah1 what did the letter say and do you know if it was a letter cp05?February 8, 2013 at 9:46 pm #6091
I filed 1/30 IRS received 1/31 was showing Orange bar until 2/6 and has shown “still processing “ever since. I have talked to three reps all who said I had no red flags or off sets. I just spoke to someone earlier today that said everything was fine. Received a letter today dated 2/4 saying I was under review…WMR never said any error codeFebruary 8, 2013 at 9:07 pm #6086
@Kay wow that sucks I’m sorry to hear that but I know your money is coming and you guys will be in your home sooner than you know :)
@Monet that’s great news! The number I posted the people seem generally much knowledgeable, nicer and willing to assist.February 8, 2013 at 7:33 pm #6078
hello all I have been reading the post and when mrsdaw posted the number 18668973315 I called because I filed on Feb. 1st and was accepted Feb. 1 but I have not been able to access wheres my refund. when I called I got a nice lady that told me my refund was accepted on the 4th not the 1st and it was scheduled to be DD on Feb. 13 and no later than Feb. 25 so if you want to know the status just call.February 8, 2013 at 6:56 pm #6076
@mrsdaw I was too started crying… my apartment was broken into a few months ago and me and my son lost everything… they even stole his under ware…so this money could help us buy our very first home… I started googling info on the letter and found out about the codes attached… went over the letter with a fine tooth comb trying to find a code but it wasn’t any… thought that was weird so I started calling… got the wait till answer and the info i stated from the hold dept… thought about what I did and the transcript thing was what I came up with… not saying I am right but if I know there is a hold cause of the delay it would stand to reason that they sent the generic letter out to cover the time it takes for processing… so as long as WMR states… processing with no code or says that I am officially under review… I’m not going to call just yet….plus the fact that every one is flooding the IRS line with I want my DD and where is my check questions I’ll just wait… Me and my lil man can ride this storm out for a little longer… praying for all of us to get our $$$February 8, 2013 at 6:34 pm #6073
@holly Although I can’t give you a 100% answer I would say to read both mine and royjb post, seems like in his case he actually had to get a hold removed and in my case the hold was just for testing and was already lifted.
@kay I was loosing my mind up until I hung up the phone with Ms. Garcia, I have been researching like crazy, becoming OCD with WMR and trying to order transcripts I was even reading stuff from 2009
@taxpayer if you have a hold on your return that is not related to any of the current tax delays like 8863 then I would certainly call the hold line and see what they say it’s a lot better than worrying I know it made me feel so much better
For the meantime I think I will give my stalking ways up at least until Monday Morning lol.February 8, 2013 at 6:17 pm #6069
I’m going to just leave it alone at least until this 8863 issue is resolved… now if you didnt claim that form by all means check to see what is going on… also check the its.gov site for other forms that have been delayed the check your return to see if you have them…February 8, 2013 at 6:07 pm #6066
so if i just leave it alone will it still be processed no matter what? is that what they’re saying? we need to call in to have them remove the hold?February 8, 2013 at 6:04 pm #6065
I was also accepted WAY early also I got my accepted letter from TA on the 23rd…February 8, 2013 at 6:00 pm #6064
OK ONCE MORE I GOT A 4464C LETTER THIS AFTERNOON IN THE MAIL SPOKE TO IRS THIS MORNING THEY SAID I HAVE NO ISSUES AND Where’s My Refund (WMR) AN HOT LINE SAYS PROCESSING 21 DAY STUFF WHAT SHOULD I THINKFebruary 8, 2013 at 5:59 pm #6063
@mrsdaw thanks for the info…I am still going to wait till something updates after the 14th I have a 8863 and a profit and loss from self employment which were delayed this year… I will keep you all posted on what happens…. I also just want to say thank you all for your help and support with out it i know I would be loosing my mind…February 8, 2013 at 5:53 pm #6061
Here is our story so far:
Filed on the 1/16 (HRB) IRS accepted it 1/30 was able to order both transcripts on 2/4. Still said processing on 2/5 so we called. They told us everything looked fine and that it was still processing give it until 2/20 and call back. Called again yesterday to see what was going on and if we could get a DDD. They lady told us it was under review. We didn’t do anything wrong, NO letter had been sent out. No codes were given. She also couldn’t give us an average time it takes to review.
My question is: If we aren’t getting a letter, or error codes then what is going on?February 8, 2013 at 5:49 pm #6060
I highly advise everyone to call that number. I spoke with a Ms. Garcia who was a sweetheart and she was very helpful. She stated that the IRS has a new system this year and for that system they accepted a few returns as a test. [I was accepted on the 24th] Those returns accepted as a test were just that a test, by no means was that your actual acceptance date since they did not begin processing until the 30th. So the test subjects returns fully went through the system and were assigned a number and then when they opened the flood gates on the 30th they were sent back through for what they call re-sequencing. That triggered the 4464c letter. She looked over my return line by line and told me there were no red flags and that it was actually being processed she even verified my banking information to make sure there would be no hold ups when the time comes around. I thanked her so much because I have gotten nothing but jerks on the line unwilling to assist. She also stated that if you were really up for review your WMR would update to say that along with an error code. If you were accepted early I would assume maybe you are in the same category as me but it always feels better to hear that for yourself so call call call and goodluck everyone. I will keep you all posted and I ask that you do the same. Have a great weekend!February 8, 2013 at 5:42 pm #6059
Long story short: I’m pretty much fucked until they decide they’re done with meFebruary 8, 2013 at 5:26 pm #6058
Yep, the number I called is the one mrsdaw posted above. BTW, thank you mrsdaw. :)February 8, 2013 at 5:09 pm #6057
I found a number for the Refund Hold Department just in case anyone else would like to call it is 1-866-897-3315. Please keep us posted everyone :)February 8, 2013 at 5:04 pm #6056
The lady I talked to was very nice. She said it COULD take the extra 7 days…but didn’t let on that it was anything serious. I went as far as asking if I needed to start making copies of all my receipts and parent payments (I have had a daycare for many many years).
Has anyone gotten their refund even though they’ve been reviewed?February 8, 2013 at 5:03 pm #6055
@roy Great news! What number did you call?February 8, 2013 at 5:01 pm #6054
I tried to call 3 times yesterday they won’t tell me nothing even called the holds department for info he was very nice said that they could only look up my info for 2011….WMR stills says this for me
We have received your tax return and it is being processed.
You should get your refund within 21 days from the date we received your tax return.
Please check here or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go, to check on your refund status.
I also still have not received my account transcript as of today…. one week later… maybe it will come Monday or maybe just maybe (praying) that’s what the letter about… it had no code to reference to at all…. I decided not to call until this whole delay of the 8836 form has been settled…Also after I got the letter I went flipping google search crazy and A LOT of people using TT are getting the letter and the codes on WMR… I’m just praying for good news for ALL of us…February 8, 2013 at 4:54 pm #6053
The lady I talked to today says the updates in the processing system caused some returns to be kicked to review for no reason at all. When she looked at my account, she went line-by-line and say no codes or flags. After having me on hold for about ten minutes, she came back on the line, said she removed the hold on my refund, and placed my account back into the normal refund delivery system. She said I should be able to see my direct deposit date in a couple days.
If you have been told by an IRS agent that you are under review, or that your refund is on hold, ask to be connected to the “holds department”. They can tell you more than the regular reps, and they have the power to make changes on your account.February 8, 2013 at 4:42 pm #6051
impatientlywaiting: That coincides with what the agents where telling me. Two different agents stated I should still receive my refund in the 21 day time frame from the date it started processing on the 28th. We shall see as the 28th day if they include weekends will be the 2/17 as I know 2/18 is a holiday.February 8, 2013 at 4:38 pm #6049
I’m under review…filed the 30th, accepted the 30th as per the IRS. I just called, and was told that I’m under review, and it should only last approx. 7 more days. Same return as the past 10 years. Self Employed, 2 dep, HOH, EIC. In fact, My return is about the same as last year, and the past few years.February 8, 2013 at 3:59 pm #6047
Okay here’s my two cents not that it really means anything on the 1st of Feb I ordered a account transcript for 2012 could not order the return transcript cause I have the education credit which as we all found out does not process until Feb 14 so How can I get a transcript on a year that hasn’t happen yet… for me anyways… what I am thinking is I received the letter because of the delay of the 8863… there is no code on the letter or the hotline or WMR….I am still and have been since the 23rd processing… I AM NOT calling cause all they do is give me the run around… My patiences is way to then right now for that… now I could be totally wrong about this theory but… I wont know for sure till next week…. I will keep you posted on what happens…February 8, 2013 at 2:50 pm #6043
i don’t even wanna try and call. i know i’m gonna lose my temper and they’re just doing their job. wmr still says processing and when i call refund hotline it’s the same message. still no error code or irs ref code on wmr or hotline.February 7, 2013 at 9:58 pm #5987
Ok, here’s my story:
Used Turbotax. Filed 1/24, accepted 1/26. 1 W-2, EIC with 3 kids, same as last 3 years.
WMR and hot line have been processing ever since. No codes or review messages.
I called yesterday and the rep wasn’t helpful, said they didn’t get my return on 1/26, that they got it 1/31. Said everything looked ok, just give it 3 weeks (21 days).
Called again this morning since I still didn’t get an update on WMR, rep looked and said I had a hold on my return but she didn’t know why. She didn’t see any codes or anything and said they haven’t mailed out a letter. If they need anything they will mail one out but just figure 45 days before its released!
So I called this afternoon to see if another rep seen something different. Nope, it’s under review, she doesn’t know why. I may get a letter, maybe, if they need info. I asked her why WMR doesn’t say I’m under review and she said its not accurate.
I am soooo annoyed with this whole thing!February 7, 2013 at 6:38 pm #5973
I received this letter today it was very general and nothing specific as to why I am under review… I’m glad to know I am not the only one… Now for some reason my State (MI) has been pending acceptance since the 30th but today for some reason it was approved. As for my info
WMR Still processing no error codes at all
I have Ed Credit (Delayed till Mid Feb) CTC and profit and loss from self employment W2’s and a over 7k refund amount… I hope there is some info soon…. I was reading on the TT site last year this happen to ALOT of people… i filed though TA will post back when I get more InfoFebruary 7, 2013 at 4:17 pm #5969
filed 24th accepted 26th…there are a lot of 26ers being reviewedFebruary 7, 2013 at 3:23 pm #5963
Ok thanks for all the help. I’m gonna call tomorrow morning and post what info I find out. Hopefully it’s good newsFebruary 7, 2013 at 3:14 pm #5962
Also like someone else mentioned I have had far greater success with the men looking up my file. I usually try to ask them how their day is going and engage in some conversation while they are looking up my info (ie. weather, where they are located, sports, etc).February 7, 2013 at 3:11 pm #5961
hackney2009: 1st objective is to try to get them to open your file and look at it. Ask them that you just wanted to check to see if you have any errors or any debt indicators/offsets, flags, or under manual review on your file. They have to look at your return to find that information out. Once they have your file open then you can ask what you really want to know. If your refund was reduced then at that point ask them about the reduction and if they can tell you why the reduction.
Sometimes it takes multiple calls to get someone that is willing to help as many of them are trained to be rude and not open your file.February 7, 2013 at 3:03 pm #5960
Deuce1911 what questions did you ask? I want to call and try to get some answers for myself but I don’t want to get railroaded
Just because I don’t know what I’m talking about. Also I posted on the IGMR Facebook page and a lady told me the problem is
That I filed my niece and they just want to verify that she lives with me. I’m a first time filer so all of this is new to me.February 7, 2013 at 1:26 pm #5949
2013taxpayer : my refund was higher.. it was funny though I called yesterday when I received the letter monday evening and they could not find anything wrong with my return. I just played dumb and asked questions. Then when I told them about the letter they put me on hold and finally found the code.
When I was with my CPA today on the conference call today on the line he called they answered the call in less than 2 minutes… asked for his ID information and mine and looked at everything we asked them to. The person we spoke with said the code is nothing to be alarmed and basically just holds the funds in case someone wants to look at the return. He was searching for a reason why the return would of been held and then he asked how much it was for and when I told him over $7000 he then said that was the reason due to the high dollar amount. Said I should still receive it within the 21 day time frame like WMR is stating from the 28th which for me would be 2/18.February 7, 2013 at 1:18 pm #5948
also not to confuse anyone lol….i’m the sister of this username. my sis got her refund already.February 7, 2013 at 1:17 pm #5947
“I called my CPA and we conference called with the IRS Practioner Priority Services group in which they look up your return. I was flagged because of the size of the refund. He said nothing looks out of order just a code that slows up the return if someone wants to take a look at it hence the letter issued by the system.
He says I started processing on the 28th even though the 25th was the acceptance date I received. He said the refund is still scheduled to be disbursed within the 21 day time frame and nothing to be alarmed about. He said this letter is just the systems way to slow up the process to allow additional time IF someone wants to take a look at it. If it goes beyond the 21 days then there will be another letter but NO manual review right now and no flags outside of this code. Hope that gives everyone a little hope.”
@duece1911 Thank you so much for this helpful information!!! My refund is $3405, I’m wondering if I was flagged because that amount. Is your refund close to my amount?February 7, 2013 at 11:07 am #5926
WMR is showing processing, should receive refund within 21 days still today. No error codes or anything. Still haven’t received any mail from the irs. I am starting to think the hold on my refund was caused by a system error. My hold is scheduled to be released 2/18.February 7, 2013 at 8:41 am #5907
Ok thanks for the help deuce1911. Its really appreciated.February 7, 2013 at 8:31 am #5906
hackney2009 – Not sure but you would receive a letter stating you are being Audited if that was the case.
Remember that if anyone is experiencing a financial hardship due to the delay of their refund they can call the Tax Advocate group which is a free service to represent you and expedite or if not expedite at least research your situation more as they will act as your liason with the IRS during the process of the review.
The number is listed on the letter 4464c 1-877-777-4778February 7, 2013 at 8:27 am #5905
i checked my papers and the deposit that i received came out to be the exact amount of my Federal
Withholdings minus the fees HRB was supposed to take out. Does this mean im one of the lucky ones
that is getting a real audit instead of it being a computer error?February 7, 2013 at 8:19 am #5902
I called my CPA and we conference called with the IRS Practioner Priority Services group in which they look up your return. I was flagged because of the size of the refund. He said nothing looks out of order just a code that slows up the return if someone wants to take a look at it hence the letter issued by the system.

Have you seen anybody get the partial return?February 7, 2013 at 7:46 am #5899
I have been under review since the 1st also but I am only able to order a account transcript and not the return transcript. I still get the processing and refund expected in 21 days. No error codes or anything and when I call I had to actually tell them I received the letter as the IRS agents told me everything looked fine with the return. The agent yesterday actually had to go look up the letter 4464c before he gave me the 6 to 8 week spill. Another agent told me he is supposed to say 6 to 8 weeks but it usually is alot faster than that time frame.February 7, 2013 at 7:17 am #5896
I’ve been under review since the 1st but I was able to order my transcripts and I received a deposit from HRB for 200 bucks
Yesterday, which is wayyy less than what my return is supposed to be, but now when I check their systems they don’t have any
info about my return at all. It’s like I never even filed with
Them. I’m still waiting for my letter but I really can’t imagine what would be wrong since I didn’t prepare them myself. I also can’t
Find anyone in the same situation as me so it’s an even shittier situationFebruary 7, 2013 at 6:07 am #5890
i filed & got accepted on 1/28th. since 1/30th as of now, i am showing as returned received & processing on wmr & the same on refund hotline. i have just received a 4464 c letter yesterday. i was told on here to not to worry if i got the letter and on wmr still shows as processing and not a specific error/irs ref code on the wmr. also was told along with my sis (the original owner of this username) earlier today on here to not to worry about it because they got their refund the same day they got their under review letter. she called irs about it and they told her that they have been getting quite a few calls about it but need not to worry because it was a glitch in the system that has been sending out letters. hopefully, that is the case.
i also can’t order my return transcript but i can order my acct transcript.February 6, 2013 at 11:32 am #5799
WMR gives the generic 21 day message
BUT after reading the different forums and having friends that filed after me already get their taxes I decided to call. Took me 3 reps til I found out we were placed under review they didn’t state why other than it was for my protection. Like other people I claimed the Childcare Tax Credit and this is the only year that our return is different. My husband is still in the military but I worked 2 jobs and we moved so my kids went to 2 daycares. Was expecting a large amount upward of 15k. No offsets reported for either one of us and the rep I spoke to said they were mailing a letter but I don’t need to do anything and it can take up to 60 days…bleh! This has never ever happened and I’m a little nervous, scared and concerned. I will keep everyone posted.February 6, 2013 at 9:42 am #5781
I had to call the irs before i knew there was an issue. neither rep i spoke with said i was under review. they just say there’s an issue and my refund is on hold til 2/18.February 6, 2013 at 9:31 am #5776
I havent received a letter yet either but now wmr cant find my infoFebruary 6, 2013 at 9:27 am #5773
I have been proccessing since 1/31/12 but I haven’t received a letter yetFebruary 6, 2013 at 9:21 am #5770
Im not sure exactly, it shouldnt take more than 1 day of processingFebruary 6, 2013 at 9:21 am #5768
My message on WMR is processing and waiting 21 days… I just received letter from IRS that I am under review yesterday. I submitted via Tax Act on 1/20 and accepted on 1/25.February 6, 2013 at 9:19 am #5767
How long does it take to find out your under review? When your under review the WMR site is stating that?February 6, 2013 at 9:19 am #5765
I’m seeing a lot of people having problems with HRB. I dont know if its solely their problem but i
wanna know how it went from a 4 Grand refund to only 200 bucksFebruary 6, 2013 at 9:17 am #5763
I going to assume this email I got this morning from TurboTax is from the funds I received yesterday. It says funds are on their way and I should have them by the next bussinss day. I’m not holding my breathe but the rest of my refund would be appreciative.February 6, 2013 at 9:14 am #5762
Looks like mosr ppl are getting a review message of some sort besides me? I am confused.February 6, 2013 at 9:12 am #5761
Filed with HRB and accepted on 1/30. Expecting a return of 4 grand
Went into review a couple days later and was able to order transcripts yesterday.
Before today HRB website could’nt find my return but now their website is saying i never even filed with them!
WMR hotline still says I am under review.
HRB hotline says my funds have been sent to my bank.
Checked my bank account and it shows a deposit of 200 bucks from HRB..
Idk what boat im in but its looking like the titanic.. A lot of big ass holesFebruary 6, 2013 at 9:00 am #5756
i filed 1/27 with taxact. was done processing on 1/31 and ordered the transcript. 2/4 wmr still showed 21 day processing message.
called irs on 1/4. he said my refund is on hold til 1/18 but cant see why. he said that it isnt for debt. he said no letter has been sent out. he said if everything is ok by 2/18 my refund will deposit.
called irs back on 2/6. lady says i an still on refund hold, give it til 1/18. she says no letter has been sent as of this date either.
wmr still shows return processing.
i assume its not an eic review because i havent got any refund of the taxes paid in, and irs says my entire refund is on hold.
did anyone here see any other message besides “your return is being processed. you should get your refund within 21 days”?February 6, 2013 at 8:46 am #5755
Well I got what I paid in federal back but not the EIC so I’m guessing I have to provide documentation on it.February 6, 2013 at 7:15 am #5737
Just received the Letter LTR4464C also today and may take up to 60 days to process. No special forms or anything though added.February 6, 2013 at 4:37 am #5725
well I guess the review is for EIC and child tax credit at least for me, just noticed a deposit on my greendot card for only my federal taxes no EIC or CTC. load of BS, exact same filing as last year, I am the court ordered legal guardian of my nephew with a different last name. Filed with him last year with no issues [email protected]@K all of those who file fraudulently with other peoples kids, you caused this BS with the IRS looking at legit filers and holding up my $$$$February 6, 2013 at 1:54 am #5718
I’ve gotten a LTR 4464C letter that says my return is under review, and it might take up to 60 days to process. It said they may require additional information, but I don’t need to do anything yet. I used TT and filed on the 10th so my return was accepted quickly. The only problem is my return is delayed because of the Education Tax Credit delay until Feb 15th… From what I’ve read my return shouldn’t of been processed yet, and why I don’t understand why I even got a letter.February 5, 2013 at 5:02 pm #5686
Ok here is my situation. Got accepted on the 29, on the 1st got the dreadful msg Take action and I should receive a letter in the mail. On Sunday I had a deposit in my net spend card minus the EIC. So i called yesterday and talked to a very helpful rep. He said I should receive a letter in the mail stating that I have to prove that I have a right to claim for Eic. He didnt say when I will get the letter or how long it will take. Checked the mail and no letter yet. Really hoping it comes soon!February 5, 2013 at 4:53 pm #5680
I got a little bit of good news. I got what I paid in federal about an hr ago. Unfortunately they are still holding my EITC.February 5, 2013 at 3:49 pm #5672
Nothing in the mail again today! :(February 4, 2013 at 6:41 pm #5569
So I called HRB Emerald card to see if I had any pending deposits and they didn’t see anything however they did say that I should receive something on the 8th and no later than the 15th sooo that’s good news if it’s true. A little is better than nothing!February 4, 2013 at 4:50 pm #5540
I am getting all kinds of conflicting messages and dates from different and websites. WMR gives me this under review message, Irs2go says sent/deposited with no date or reference number, hotline gives me the WMR message, TurboTax says accepted, TurboTax mobile says it has been successfully acknowledged and you will receive your refund before 2/17 and mytaxrefund app says something else different. What a nightmare!February 4, 2013 at 3:53 pm #5518
Anyone get a refund that has been in review. Last year it delayed my refund one week. Hoping for the same this year.February 4, 2013 at 1:38 pm #5499
i filed on 1/28 accepted 1/29 processing for 4 days then went to review. Called IRS today and after talking the rep into looking up my return she said still processing. Not sure if this is accurate or not. I do have a schedule C, Filed HOH, and claim my nephew same as I did last year because I am his legal guardian with a court order. i have filed with a schedule C and W2 for the last 8 years never an issue.
Personally I have seen so many people comment on this review process I have no idea who is right, some say the review is generated by computer and may only cause a delay of a couple of days. Others say it can hold your refund for weeks or months.
Who knows????February 4, 2013 at 12:07 pm #5489
Nothing in the mail today. :( If anyone else gets anything make sure to let us know! :)February 4, 2013 at 10:18 am #5478
Well I tried calling this morning and had absolutely no luck in finding out why I am under review. She just told me it’s too early to find out anything about my return. She wouldn’t even look up my info. Just told me to wait 3 weeks to see if my status updates. What the heck is the call center there for then if they can’t answer questions that are actually deemed important other than people calling trying to get a friggin’ DD date after filing hours ago! SMH. Hopefully something comes in the mail today. I don’t want this getting dragged out too long.February 4, 2013 at 8:13 am #5473

I’m currently waiting on hold to find out what’s going on with it..February 4, 2013 at 7:45 am #5470
Anyone called them yet to see what the IRS says? I’m afraid to call them.. I’ve heard they can be rude!
