return still being processed vs. we have received your return…processed

I am reading on here a lot of “processing” messages that people are getting, and there seem to be two different buckets of processing messages. There is the one that is something along the lines of “we have received your return and it is being processed” and then there is “Your tax return is still being processed”.

What is the difference here and what do they mean?

Filed 1/23, I’m in the STILL being processed group.

For me, I filed 1/23 accepted 1/24. I went to the posessing message first. Stayed with the processing message until Feb 21st, when I had to id verify. Once I id verified, my wmr updated to, we have received your return and it is being processed. I was told that until I id verified, my return tchnically wasn’t accepted or received. Once I verified, my return was received and accepted and can start actually being processed. Whether that’s true or not, who knows.
