      Does anybody have experience with this?
      I filed 1/21 and accepted 1/23
      My wife called the offset number today and discovered she had an offset which will practically take out entire return.

      Can I file this injured spouse form? I’m the only person on the return with an income. My wife is a stay at home mother and takes care of the kids. Doesn’t seem fair that their going to take my return.

          Hi Jason, my husband and I filed married filing jointly as well and my refund was taken to offset his student loans. I am the sole provider of my home as my husband stays home with our children. I do agree it is completely unfair. I filed the injured spouse form as well and I am waiting to hear back.
