I remember last year my money got deposited at 4:30PM but don’t remember about updates or anything lol so hopefully they issue/update throughout the day…I’ll be happy if I see anyone update, that way I know something’s going on

    Samantha(MA)

Do you know if they update all throughout the day?

Let’s hope we get DDD today because I don’t expect much work being done today or Friday with a foot of snow cooking.

I know a lot of ours are in green with a negative sign in front of it..if it’s processed I don’t know why they aren’t issuing it..hopefully will see some movement/change

I ended up calling and the lady I spoke with said that if the amount is green with a negative sign in front that it’s good and means it’s been processed but that’s all she said 😑

I was accepted on 23rd and I can see by looking at my account that mine has been processed. I can’t seem to get any more info that that from the thing. I f you go into your account from the non refund section there is more info there. That refund app is useless it seems.

I hope it works for everyone soon. I give up it’s been exactly 2 weeks no change in status. I will just wait for a text from the bank about a deposit. DOR is absolutely no help this year.

Samantha, friday is two weeks for me also. fingers crossed!

The MA website says, “DOR estimates that 75% of online returns will continue to be processed in two to three days, and anticipates issuing most refunds in less than two weeks from the time returns are received.

Refund turnaround times for e-filed returns could take up to four to six weeks if additional information is needed to verify a filer’s identity to protect against refund fraud.”

So Friday will be 2 weeks for me, so hopefully we see some movement.

I really think they are following the IRS with the path. I was accepted the 24th and nothing. No one gives me a reason just says 2-6 weeks, 60 days or 4 -6 weeks. I think they outsourced the call center and no one know what they are talking about. It’s really not fair if they were just on point and honest with us then maybe we wouldn’t be so mad and stop calling..lol sorry end of my rant I just had to get it off my chest.

@china93: apparently no, processed does not mean processed. Only when you click on accounts, then click your account number then click activities you will see an option for refund. That is where it will show you whether the refund was issued. That’s why I prefer using the automated system

I have a couple of questions
1 If the refund page says processed dose it mean their finish.
2 If so does anyone know how long before they ddd
    any answers would be appreciated
    Thank You

My checking account info is really the only thing that changed. And the guy I spoke to told me that kind of letter wouldn’t be available to view on my account page so I have to wait for it. I checked and letter isn’t on my account page

I had to ID verify the last 2 years. If you move, change your checking account info, new dependent, anything different, they usually have you ID verify. You might be able to see the letter if you log into the website. It’s a link and a personalized password and then 3 questions only you would know the answers to.

@samantha(MA): that was the case but I called today and I was told 4-6 weeks due to the crack down on fraud. So who knows now. I’m so discouraged and disgusted with the system this year. We all work hard for this money and look forward to these checks every years to give us a little boost financialy and a piece of mind. All we can do is wait it out. I’m done calling people and checking websites.

@Czarface..when you called didn’t they say something about 5 days? That was 5 days ago tomorrow… I’m hoping!! But like you said I’m not trying to get my hopes up too much

Mass. Dept. of revenue automated system keeps saying “technical difficulties” would be nice if that means something. With this new system I’m just lost. In previous years if I got a message like that the refunds were being issued. Don’t know about this new system though.

I need to vent. Massachusetts is really pissing me off right now. You get different stories from everyone you talk to there nobody’s on the same page in that place. I’m so frustrated and it’s not even that much but still it’s my money. If I was a loan shark how do you think that would work out 😳

    #4159586 Reply

I filled 1/24 accepted 1/26 still processing. I just got off the phone with someone from DOR and she told me to expect at least 4 weeks due to more intense fraud detection. Nothing to due with PATH act even though it seems to be that way.

So guys.. on the Ma department of website twitter page I saw this just posted a few days ago.. I do have friends who have started receiving refunds that were accepted on 1/26 and 1/27 so I’d say that the more accurate timeline would be around 2 weeks. I was accepted 1/27 so hoping to see some movement this week nearing the two week mark.

I’m telling you guys, the turn around time for MA is usually 5-7 days. It’s because of the PATH law this year. Why else would it go from 5-7 days every other year to 4-6 weeks this year?? Ridiculous.

One guy that I talk to at the Department of revenue said that the processed word is actually not what it means. He said he’s been trying to tell them that they need to change the wording that processed does not mean processed. they’re just all screwed up this year. I was told not to expect it for 4 to 6 weeks . They really suck

I think the common denominator here is EITC. That’s why alot of us are waiting.
