My fiancee got a letter from the IRS yesterday saying that he did not include his 1095-a for the marketplace insurance. So we printed it out and faxed it to them this morning. The lady on the phone was not very helpful. She just kept referring us to the letter stating that it would take 6-8 weeks. I am sure it will not take that long being that it was not an amended return but yet a simple mistake. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and how long do you think it will take to get itself worked out?

Update: Finally can see my transcripts! Refund date of 5/18/15! Accepted 2/18! Only took them 3 months! WMR still says processing…
Does anyone know if that is the date I’ll get my refund? Could I get it sooner?April 25, 2015 at 8:23 pm #4111570
4/25: WMR bars returned with DDD of 4/29 so there is hope. Guess we just have to wait longer these days.April 24, 2015 at 12:22 am #4111530
Filed and accepted: 2/20
WMR bars disappeared: 3/13
Received 2 letters requesting 1095-a (slightly different return addresses): 3/31
Mailed two 1095-a’s: 4/1
Nothing heard since – what is going on? They said it could take 6-8 weeks more.April 23, 2015 at 10:42 pm #4111528
I filed and accepted 3/31, bars disappeared 4/17, currently at “still processing, a refund date will be given when available” , received letter today 4/23 that they need a copy of my 1095-a to support my 8962 and then it will be 6-8 weeks after they receive. Well, now I have realized that my fax I sent cover sheet was blank and my 1095-a’s didn’t have our SSN on them on each page like it asked. Can I just re-fax everything or can I call and them let me know? ThanksApril 22, 2015 at 10:41 am #4111486
Filed on 2/3. Accepted 2/4. Received a letter on 3/23 asking for my 1095. Faxed to IRS on 3/24. Have heard nothing since. I have been filing income taxes since 1987 and have never had a problem until this year because of the 1095. Why are we being punished for their stupidity? UGH!!!1April 17, 2015 at 8:47 am #4111416
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me. I filed and then was accepted 2/18. Couple of weeks later my bars disappeared. I waited….tried calling, couldn’t get through. Finally, I was told I would be receiving a letter, because my 8962 & 1095 didn’t match. I took over a week to get the letter. Faxed the 1095 electronically, but I didn’t get a confirmation. I contacted fax provider who said on their end it was successfully sent. Two weeks later, no changes, so I call the IRS yesterday. They tell me they have no record of receiving the fax, but it is likely it is still being processed and wouldn’t show up until they’re done. Basically, just wait! I told the lady, but what if you didn’t get it? Should I resend by fax or email? She was like NO! Don’t do that.
So what are my options? I don’t want to wait another 3 weeks to find out they don’t have my info! This is so frustrating.April 16, 2015 at 10:43 pm #4111410
I don’t know how to fill out the 8962 is it necessary for me to send the 8962? Can I just send the 1095? Did anyone just send the 1095 and got their tax return processed and received their refund? Please adviseApril 16, 2015 at 11:07 am #4111392
Will you give me the fax number provided on your letter? They have mailed me my letter three times and I have not received it and the person on the phone could not find the fax number to give me. Thank you in advance.April 15, 2015 at 10:52 pm #4111383
@ robert j,
That code will be pertaining to the letter you received about needing the 1095.
Received letter 3/10
Faxed back 3/11
Able to see transcripts 4/3 (code 570)
WMR updated 3/10 with DDD 3/14
Received refund 3/14April 14, 2015 at 2:24 am #4111332
Good morning, faxed 1095A and 8962 3 weeks ago. Finally able to see transcriots with the following codes and I was wondering pertaining to the notice issued and the date being 4-27 does this mean a second notice was issued for a different reason ?April 13, 2015 at 4:27 pm #4111317
WMR states due date of 4/15/15. Transcript stated 4/27/15. It’s almost over. Process started March 4, 2015. Pretty much 6 weeks to the day to get processed. Just happy it’s finally over. And I didn’t sign up for Obamacare for 2015.April 10, 2015 at 10:23 am #4111232
Update: Check my transcript today. Code 846 with refund date of 4/27/15. WMR shows still processing. I’m just happy this almost over. My refund wasn’t decreased due to forms 1095 and 8962….April 9, 2015 at 2:27 pm #4111212
@Sondra, congrats to you..my transcript updated on yesterday and gave me a refund date for April 27, 2015 as well..Checked WMR this morning and a deposit date is April 13..your transcript will tell you that date but WMR should be updated for you tomorrow and it should give you a direct deposit date for April 14 or 15..April 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm #4111202
Checked my transcripts this morning and got the highly anticipated 571 and 846 for 4/27/15April 8, 2015 at 10:51 pm #4111187
Recd part of my refund–EIC and tax overpayment -3/4
Did not get premium tax credit. No letter recd yet. WMR says processing and under review.
Called the number listed with code 1242 and still no closer to understanding why or what if any addtl information is needed. Anyone with the same experience?April 8, 2015 at 1:07 pm #4111175
Yesterday I was FINALLY able to view my transcripts.. And I had the wonderful 846 code with a date of 4/27/15 beside it!!! Refund issued!! They increased my refund by a whooping $22.. I’d rather they had kept that $22 and saved me the stress and aggravation…
Today WMR updated, my bars are back and a DDD 4/10/2015!! Woohoo!! This whole process took 58 days for me. 2 days short of 2 months..
Praying y’all get an update this week as well!
I do have a new phone number to reach a live person if y’all want to give it a shot 1-800-829-0582 ext 332 with reference code 9021.
Hang in there everyone!April 7, 2015 at 10:48 am #4111145April 7, 2015 at 10:39 am #4111144
Hi. What site is giving you codes? I faxed in my 1095 and 8962 forms on March 4 and I haven’t been able to get any information. I spoke to rep trying to get an update yesterday, and she said she was transferring me to someone who could give me an update. She sent me to a recorded message. I thought that was so mean…April 6, 2015 at 9:52 pm #4111135
@Sondra, yes, I got code 846. When WMR a updated I also had a DDD 4/8. I just checked my bank account and my money was deposited. I am so glad this is over! Hopefully you’ll get yours soon!April 6, 2015 at 10:59 am #4111118
Hello everyone. Hope you ask had a fabulous Easter…
The irs does not update on Sunday and Monday.
I still have the 570 code. No 846 yet….I’m hoping soon being that the last rep I talked to told me if I didn’t get my refund by April 13 to call. The 13 is Monday. After doing further research I found that any refund with 5 digits had to be mailed which means longer processing.
@ stevie…. did u get the 846 code?April 5, 2015 at 4:32 pm #4111103
Congrats to u both @ Sondra n @ Stevie, I know it’s been a long progress and I’m still playing the waiting game.
@ Nani, congrats to you too..it seems like yours progressed very quickly. I’m so pissed because when the representative told me I can fax mines without he letter, and a whole month, nobody can tell me anything that my fax was received.. so I talked to a real nice representative on Thursday and she told me that the reason why they didn’t receive mine, because I did it without the letter. So i faxed it the right way and pray that I hear something real soon..so stressed!!!April 5, 2015 at 12:21 am #4111098
Hey, ya’ll. I’ve been following this thread for about a while now but haven’t commented yet. I just wanted to give my timeline of how long it took me to ( finally ) get my refund back.
02/05: Filed electronically through TurboTax
02/06: Accepted by the IRS
02/27: Called the IRS after waiting the typical 21 days it takes to get your refund, but was unable to get an actual person on the phone through the given phone number on the IRS website. I tried this number several times over the next few days and was never able to reach a person. At this point the bars on the WMRT were gone.
03/03: Through scouring the forums for Turbo Tax support, I found a different customer service number for the IRS and was told by a representative that I had been “randomly selected for further review” and that my taxes could take an additional 2 weeks to process.
03/18: Called the IRS back to find out where my refund was since an additional 2 weeks had passed. Was told by a representative that a letter had been sent out to me a week prior and that I should be receiving it soon. She would not tell me what the letter was about.
03/20: Received the letter that asked to send the IRS a 1095-A form ( nothing else was requested ). I faxed the form the same day, making sure to put all the required info on the cover sheet and my SNN on each page.
03/27: Called the IRS again to confirm they received my fax. I was told they did indeed receive it and that I should be getting my refund on 04/17 or sooner and to call back if I did not get it by then. The representative actually told me I would -either- be getting my refund on the 17th, or another letter requesting more info. She also said that once the forms are received by fax, it takes up to 10 days to process them and it can possibly take another 6-8 weeks to get my refund. This was also stated in the letter I received on 03/20.
04/03: Bars reappeared on WMRT, with a DDD of 04/06.
04/04: My tax return was already in my bank account as “pending for 04/06”, however the funds are already available.
I hope this helps in any way. The terrible part is the waiting, but they are working on it. The “other” number I called to reach the IRS was 1-800-829-3903, not the one listed on the IRS website. I was lucky enough to get people on the phone each time who actually seemed willing to help out. I really hope the rest of ya’ll get some answers soon and that your refunds come through! Much luck and Happy Easter!April 4, 2015 at 11:01 am #4111086
Still no update for me :( Trannies still say n/a for 2014 except for 1 W2 on Wage. Congrats to those that have received an update. Praying for those of us that are still waiting.. Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!April 3, 2015 at 4:37 pm #4111074
Thought I’d come moan here again.
Filed accepted 1-23
2-26 told on the phone to wait for letter, no we can’t tell you what the letter is about
3-4 got letter, faxed it back same day
4-3 called “we haven’t received any fax and it’s been 4 weeks so you can send it again.
No Thank you
4-6 send it registered/certified mail on Monday, then what, wait another 8-12 weeks? Sure why notApril 3, 2015 at 2:52 pm #4111072
Here’s my update:
Able to see transcripts today (April 3). Code 570 additional account action pending date 4/20/15 …April 3, 2015 at 12:40 pm #4111068
@sondra Thanks. WMR a hasn’t updated for me…still no bars but it has the tax topic. I got my date from the transcripts. If yours was completed on the 27th of March then you should be right there with me because I think mine was completed about the same time.April 3, 2015 at 12:04 pm #4111065
Congratulations! Did u get you ddd from wmr or a representative?April 3, 2015 at 9:11 am #4111061
Finally something good to report!
F/A via CPA 2/16
LTR 12C recieved on 3/9
Faxed on 3/9 and 3/10
Wording on WMR changed 2/28
4/3 able to view all transcripts but still no bars on WMR
I’m hoping that it will deposit sooner than 4/20, next week would be awesome.April 2, 2015 at 7:27 pm #4110985
@kelly, please wait to fax your forms in because I talked to a n IRS Rep. today n she told me to fax my forms in with my letter because it have a batch number on them so they can go to the correct Dept. Don’t forget to fax your cover sheet with your SSN number on all sheets faxed!!!April 1, 2015 at 10:37 am #4110939
@kelly, Yes i think that would be the best thing to do. When you fax make sure you have a copy of your name and ssn number on the top of both sheets, because that’s where i messed up at. I only had my information on just the top sheet, so they know they r both together.April 1, 2015 at 10:27 am #4110937
@Sondra, You’re probably so right because I did fax mine on two different days, but wouldn’t someone at least see my fax? I’m able to see my transcripts but 2014 is still saying N/A. To me If the representative said your information was completed on March 27, it seems like they should know the refund date also.April 1, 2015 at 10:15 am #4110936
I filed with turbo tax and refund was accepted on Jan 23, 2015. Nothing else happened on my account an called Irs end of Jan to be told I should have received letter asking for form 1095 they said give it longer to get to me. Called back a 2/25/2015 and they said they would request letter be reset to me and need to give new letter up to a month to get to me. Still no letter. It’s been more than 30 days on hold now (already over an hr). Does anyone know if I could just print out 8962 and fill it out and fax it with my 1095 without having copy of letter from irs? So frustrated!! Any advice????April 1, 2015 at 8:59 am #4110933
I faxed mine 2x (in the same day, one after the other to be sure it was sent). If u faxed them on different days then yes, it may slow up the process a bit because they may think the 2nd form is a corrected form.
Personally, I haven’t seen any movement online. Transcripts still won’t let me in and wmr just had my amount and topic 152. The last rep I talked to said everything was completed March 27, but didn’t have any other information.April 1, 2015 at 7:13 am #4110930
@stevie, thanks so much for that information. I filed on 2/2 and was accepted the same day. My bars went away on 2/21 with a tax topic 152. Called IRS on 2/25 after my 21 days was up n he told me that they was sending out a letter concerning my 1095 form. So i asked what the fax number was n he gave me the wrong number, thanks to him, because after i called back three days later to see if they received it which was 3/5, the lady put me on hold, came back and asked me what number i faxed it to, and i told her that the guy i spoke to the other day gave me 800-204-5017 n she said she don’t know where he got that number from. She gave me the correct number 800-204-5020. It will be 4 weeks tomorrow and they told me it will take up to 4 weeks to process from the time they receive my fax. Guess what? As of yesterday, they don’t see where i faxed it in, n she said it’s still sitting in the errors department. This is complete BS. My twins are graduating from High School on May 17. I think i need to call a Tax Advocate. I’m just having headaches behind this. Different representatives telling me different things.April 1, 2015 at 2:15 am #4110928
@netra, sorry I can’t help you. The only thing I can tell you is that the 12C letter days it could be delayed if you mail it after you fax it. So I’m not sure if it will delay if you fax it twice.
@julianna scott: You need to see about getting a tax advocate. I won’t comment on your frustrations that are directed at those of us who filed after you.
No real update on my situation. I did notice on Saturday that a 1099 was added to the Wage & Income transcript….still 2 W2s missing. On WMR, I noticed that the wording changed and Tax Topic 152 is back. I’m hoping that’s a good sign.March 31, 2015 at 3:32 pm #4110914
Can anyone tell me will there be a processing delay if i faxed my 1095 forms more than once?March 31, 2015 at 5:30 am #4110906
hello I filed January 6th yes you read that right JANUARY 6th I was accepted the 13th my cp letter was mailed to the wrong address on the 20th of January. I patiently waited the 21 days before calling to be informed of the cp letter and the agent told me to mail in my 8962 form for the 1095. So I mailed it on the 6th they got it on the 10th of FEB. They could not acknowledge they received it until the 17th of February. On March 20th we received a letter at our correct address that they received our forms and need another forty days. I pretty began the tax season and will close the season while still waiting. And yes I call every so often. And yes my taxes are basic just like last year. And no I cannot see my transcript nor order the 2014. How sad irs. I was read my letter after I had mailed and on the letter it states to NOT fax them if you already mailed them. So yeah thanks agent who told me to mail it I am sure many people have gotten theirs already and others complain when they send theirs in March when I sent my taxes before they even opened.March 30, 2015 at 5:28 pm #4110896
I called the irs today and spoke with a nice representative that told me that everything was complete, but he couldn’t tell me exactly when I would receive my refund or be able to see my transcripts. He said he didn’t want to lie to me or give me any wrong information. He did said that I should get my refund within 4 weeks of from the date they completed everything (which was March 27) and to expect my refund by April 27. The past rep told me by April 13 (which is 4 weeks from the date they received the 1095).
Complete meaning what though???March 30, 2015 at 5:18 pm #4110895
@grace Thanks.. No update yet…. fingersX Really could use it… The house we are renting has been foreclosed. And we only found out because the auction was held in front of our house this past Friday!! Ridiculous! Our landlord, or should I say former landlord, couldn’t even give us a heads up! So looks like we’ll be moving VERY soon. Could really use my refund now, especially since I most likely lost my deposit on this house!!March 30, 2015 at 10:49 am #4110889
@ Cyndi thank you! I’m sending positive vibes your way for an update.March 28, 2015 at 2:06 pm #4110866
Finally transcripts update with 570 and 971 code mailed 1095a copy to irs last week. Anyone else that has had the 570 and 971 codes on their transcript got a refund or a 846 code yet? Or know what the 570 code is for? Does it have something to do with the 12c letter and them wanting the 1095a form sent?March 28, 2015 at 11:57 am #4110863
@grace Congrats!! You are giving me hope! Since your process is pretty much exactly a week ahead of me, I’m hoping that I’ll get updates this coming week!
@ladyt I had the same issue!! Try one of these numbers 1-855-262-0485 or 1-855-204-5020 An IRS rep gave them to me when I called asking for a new one! Hope this helps!March 28, 2015 at 10:03 am #4110862
Here was my situation, filed on 02/05 accepted 02/06. Bars disappeared 02/25 and received notice for 1095a and form 8962 on 03/02. I faxed in the forms that same day. Yesterday I was FINALLY able to view my transcripts. WMR still showed no update. I think to myself I doubt they made any changes on a Saturday, well sure enough. …WMR updated overnight and states my deposit date is on April 1st!!!! Finally! !!! I hope everyone sees some type of movement today! !!March 27, 2015 at 9:58 pm #4110858
I got a letter stating they needed my 1095 and I had 10 days to respond. Well I was one of the ones that Healthcare.gov processed and incorrect 1095 so they had to correct and resend it. I received the letter 10 days after I was suppose to send it to IRS. The number they told me to fax it to stays busy, I have tried to fax it several times and it stays busy. Anyone have a working fax number?March 27, 2015 at 5:03 pm #4110843
Again no update for me… ugh!!! I called again today… was on hold for 1 1/2 hours!! No info.. he verified that they did receive the form I faxed over then told me that they had 10 business days to work on it from the day they received it.. I said those 10 days have passed and then he was at a loss and said he was going to look further into my account and put me on hold for 5+ minutes. When he came back he told me that my file is out of errors and back in processing and should receive an update soon. but wouldn’t tell me when… Hoping he was telling me the truth and not making something up to get me off the phone.March 27, 2015 at 9:33 am #4110824
Was finally able to see my transcripts :) cycle code 20151205. 846 04/13/15…. FINALLY movement. It does show that my offset had already been applied to the 2012 year. I hope everyone has some type of movement today :)March 26, 2015 at 7:13 pm #4110814
Still no updates here either :( 8 weeks since f/a and 3 weeks since faxing info over! Sooooo frustrating!! I wish I could actually see my transcripts… but it just has N/A for 2014!
@Sondra I’m sorry to hear about your situation… did you consider getting a TA? They might be able to help move things along for you. I would talk to a rep about it, maybe, if you get a nice rep, they can help you decide if it’ll help.March 26, 2015 at 8:42 am #4110792
Correction received* and I’m* damn auto correctMarch 26, 2015 at 8:41 am #4110791
@ Sondra still no update for me as well. I’ve called multiple times. I faxed the forms on 03/02 and a week after called to confirm they’ve received, but there was no update. I still can’t view my transcripts and WMR still says processing with no bars. It’s been 24 days since they’ve revived my forms :( in so frustrated.March 26, 2015 at 7:02 am #4110790
Reality has set in… Doesn’t look like I will be able to go back to school this summer. Without completed transcripts, I can not receive financial aid, and without a refund I couldn’t pay for classes if I wanted too. Nothing left to do but wait, I am due for graduation in December. If I miss my summer classes I can’t graduate until may 2016. Sad!
Still no updates. No transcripts, no wmr. I’m devastated.March 25, 2015 at 11:00 am #4110774
For those of you that have had trouble obtaining a copy of you 1095A through the health insurance market place, here something that may help. I talked to a agent 3 weeks in a row trying to get this form so I could submit the information to the irs. After verifying my info, the agent had me create another health insurance market place account. Once I did, she took the application id from my old health insurance market place account, and added it under my new account. When she did this, I was able to access my 1095A to print off and fax to the irs. Still waiting to see how long it will take to get my refund.March 25, 2015 at 7:24 am #4110769
Congratulations to everyone that received their refunds and DDD.
I have no update on wmr and I still can’t log in to see any transcripts. Hopefully something updates for me soon.March 24, 2015 at 10:14 pm #4110741
Congrats to those that received DDD or even better, their refunds! :)
Still no updates for me though :( Still can’t see transcripts online nor can I order them. I am able to log in with my new address, I’m hoping that means they are working on my file? Been 6 weeks so far.. I’ve been contemplating asking for a TA, but I just read that in many cases getting a TA slows the process down. I’m going to call again tomorrow morning. I will relay any information/updates, that is if I get a helpful IRS Rep!
Hope all that are still waiting get some good news soon!March 24, 2015 at 9:11 pm #4110740
**update** The money hit our account today at 430pm!! Please be patientMarch 24, 2015 at 3:04 pm #4110695

Sondra, feel lucky that you got someone to tell you that! I just got off the phone with them and the witch I spoke with wouldn’t even pull up my account. She told me, “You need to refer to your letter!”March 23, 2015 at 9:07 am #4110589
It’s been 21 days since they’ve received my forms through fax. I still can’t see my transcripts and no update on WMR….this is a crappy year :(March 21, 2015 at 5:58 pm #4110563
I called the irs 3/20 to verify that they received the 1095 and 8962 faxed on 3/11. The rep told me that indeed they received my fax and I should receive my refund by 4/13 if they don’t need any further information. Hopefully it won’t take that long.March 21, 2015 at 4:33 pm #4110562

Still no update on mine and still the only thing on my transcripts is 1 of 3 W2s we recieved. Tuesday will be 10 business days that they’ve had the paperwork I faxed over. I realize that other people have been waiting longer but this is crap! I still don’t understand why the other W2s haven’t posted to the Wage & Income transcript. Also, I still have nothing on WMR.March 20, 2015 at 7:51 pm #4110532
No real updates on transcripts today… only that I can finally log in with my new address, but all are still unavailable to order :( So frustrating!March 20, 2015 at 10:39 am #4110510
@mosstrap oh I know!! Now let’s just wait and see if we get an actual dd. I am very skeptical of anything until I see it.March 20, 2015 at 8:01 am #4110503

**UPDATE** checked this morning FINALLY 846 on transcripts!!!!!!!!! this has been the longest tax season everMarch 19, 2015 at 11:34 am #4110469
This is to help with Diana’s information. I know a few of us had issues with the Fax number on our records. To figure out the correct fax number you will need your File Location Code (FLC) which are the first two numbers in your DLN (14 digit number on your 12C letter) Match up you FLC with the location and then you have your accurate fax number! Here is the link to explain this http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-utl/6209-section4-2012.pdf Thank you @diana!!March 19, 2015 at 7:30 am #4110464
Update i filed on 1/28 reacieved my letter 2/18 faxed 2/26 went into the system 3/9, able to see transcripts 3/18 refund approved 3/19 direct deposit date 3/28 hope this helps.March 19, 2015 at 1:11 am #4110460

I found this on the web for the tax assisters responses

Where’s My Refund can inform the taxpayer of the projected date of the refund. Also advise the taxpayer not to call before the normal processing time frames have passed as no additional information will be available. 2. If problem is not resolved, taxpayer will receive a letter during normal processing time explaining any additional requirements.

@donna I would call again. Its been more than enough time. You deserve some kind of information and answers! I am in the same boat with you. But I did just find out that transcripts usually update of Fridays. I am hoping to see some kind of movement then!March 18, 2015 at 8:22 am #4110415
Leahia, your situation is almost identical to mine. I filed on 1/9 & accepted on 1/12. I got the letter 12c in the mail on 1/29 and faxed papers in the same day. I still can’t view my transcripts (n/a on everything) and WMR says processing with no bars at all. I have been calling for weeks now and every time I get told it was processed and to wait. Finally yesterday I was told that the papers I sent in were processed on 2/25 and that I would have my money within 4 weeks of that date. That’s NEXT WEEK. I don’t see how I can have my money that fast when I can’t pull up any transcripts and even the IRS guy said it still says processing. I don’t know what’s going on but they need to do something fast. This is just too long to have to wait.March 18, 2015 at 4:23 am #4110410
I have still not seen any movement either, filed 1/8 accepted 1/12 got the letter from the IRS requesting my 1095a 1/31 and faxed same day. I was finally able to order transcripts by mail 2/13 cant view them online though it says my identity could not be verified. I had a cycle date of 20150605 but a return due date of 4/15?? I also have a code 570 that says additional account action pending as of 3/2. This is beyond frustrating..I need my money or at least some answers as to why it is taking so long.March 18, 2015 at 12:55 am #4110407
I filed my taxes on January 26, received my letter on February 26, faxed my information on February 27 and have STILL not seen any movement on wmr. I am also unable to view my transcript. How much longer do I have to wait before calling the IRS AGAIN? This is so frustrating!March 17, 2015 at 9:09 pm #4110402
Same here!! Anyone else have any issues with the fax number stated in your letter? It never completes transmission. Mostly its just busy… but when it does get through all it does is ring and ring and ring… I’ve been trying since Friday. I’ve called the IRS hoping to get an alternative fax number but have yet to get a helpful agent on the phone. :( I really think this number is a typo…March 17, 2015 at 7:46 pm #4110398
It takes literally 4 -5 weeks from the time you send back the info. ( Some people have seen it as quick as 2 weeks but not many)
I filed 01/22
02/17 – received 12c letter wanting a copy of my 1095-a
I mailed info back on 02/17
On 03/15 I FINALLY got my orange bars back, transcripts available and a DDD of 03/19.
It was a grueling 8 weeks from the time I filed and my 1095 was totally correct.
Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!March 17, 2015 at 6:48 pm #4110394
I have been reading this forum for a few days but here’s my situation. I used a CPA to file my taxes. Mine were filed and accepted on 2/16/15. I received Letter 12C on 3/9. I faxed my 1095A on 3/9 and had my CPA fax the 8962 on 3/10. My CPA told me that she did file my 8962 but that it was kicked out by the IRS without notifying her. I waited until 3/13 to call. The guy I spoke with said they did receive the forms but there was nothing started. I asked how long it would take. He said usually takes 10 business days but could take up to 4 weeks. So yesterday I logged on to see if anything had posted to my transcripts. The only thing is 1 of my husband’s W2s under Wage & Income. I don’t quite understand why only one has posted and nothing else, but at least there’s movement. This is getting very aggravating.March 17, 2015 at 4:20 pm #4110392
I have been following this thread for quite some time now to get any advice or help on any tax information.
I am in the same boat as everyone dealing with the 12c letter missing forms.
I filed 1/31
waited 21 days then called and was told they were sending a letter out to me.
received the letter on march 09, faxed in all forms that were missing that same day
Just called in today (March 17) and was told that they did receive my missing forms and the only notes that were on there was a projected date of March 30. I checked the WMR site and there still isn’t any information except for topic 152.
Do you know if this means the projected date is accurate and if this happened to anyone? thank you!March 17, 2015 at 3:49 pm #4110388
Still can’t log in to see any transcript for any year. Still saying the wrong info. Irs says they don’t know why the website says that and to order one to come in the mail. Why would I do that? It may not have the most up to date information. Rep said to call back in 4 weeks being that it takes 6-8 weeks to possibly process. If we should have a penalty for filing taxes late, so should the irs for issuing them after a certain amount of time.
50,000 people made it through the cracks with incorrect 1095A. They were told to keep the tax credit, yet…I’m waiting on my money because of this 1095. This is beyond belief. I’m screwed for following the law. How unbalanced the scales have become.
I will never advise anyone to get insurance through the marketplace. It’s a rip off! I certainly did not renew coverage!March 17, 2015 at 2:32 pm #4110380
Grace: same scenario here received 2 12c letters was told when I called they want corrected 1095aMarch 17, 2015 at 2:22 pm #4110379
@ Amber in in the same situation you’re in! What could possibly be taking this long?March 17, 2015 at 2:21 pm #4110378
I filed on Feb. 5th accepted on the 6th. Received 12c letter on March 2nd and faxed in 1095a and form 8962 that same day. I’m still not able to see transcripts and WMR is still stuck on processing with no bars. I’m worried because we faxed over the 1095a and 2 weeks later we got another one that says corrected. Ughhh just wish things would speed up!March 17, 2015 at 12:23 pm #4110371
for your transcripts the information it’s trying to verify is LAST YEARS RETURN info. I had the same problem and entered last years info and i was in!March 17, 2015 at 12:23 pm #4110370
Ok , so I filed my return on February 5th, accepted February 6th, waited the 21 days, called the irs, told me that I was going to receive a letter, he gave me the specific number to fax to where my return was. Faxed papers March 3rd, and ever since I have no responses from anywhere and Irs is still giving me the usual 4-6 weeks. Im getting aggravated because I need that money for tuition next week.March 17, 2015 at 8:21 am #4110352
I’m getting very frustrated. Has anyone had any problems trying to view their transcripts? I’ve tried for several days and the system keeps telling me I’m entering the wrong information. I am certain of my address,ss #, and birthday.what could be the problem?March 16, 2015 at 2:32 pm #4110328
What is everyone faxing in I faxed my original 1095a and 8962 in feb. I received another 12c letter sat so i called and now they are telling me to send corrected 1095a and 8962. They told me to send original the first time I called. They are as lost as we are!March 16, 2015 at 1:34 pm #4110326
filled 1-23 received letter on 2-18 faxed back on 2-18 called irs first I was told it could take up to six weeks called back two days later and the lady said four weeks but,,, when I try to see transpcrit its saying N/A im really starting to get inpatient,,,, WHERE’S MY MONEY I NEED IT NOWMarch 16, 2015 at 6:42 am #4110305
@Sondra I think I speak for everyone here that it really does differ. I have seen some people who have gotten there’s back in two weeks, some in 4 weeks. For us we faxed his in over a month ago. They are still saying wait another month! So honestly noone knowsMarch 15, 2015 at 4:17 pm #4110286
For those that faxed in your 1095… how long did it take before wmr updated? When I check, it still has the topic 152 and my refund amount is still there.March 15, 2015 at 8:59 am #4110266
I have transcripts visible finally and a code 846 refund issued 04-06-2015!!!!!!!!!!!
Will I see it before that?! It doesn’t matter FINALLY an answer!!!!!!!! :)March 15, 2015 at 7:34 am #4110263
@ MsSmit, what sequence was your code in?? 570 first then 971? Or 971, then 570.. I had the latter sequence..I’m still waiting it seems since you fax yours in you have a week jump on me..March 14, 2015 at 10:12 am #4110219
So FINALLY my WMR updated today and I have a DDD for March 18th!!! Praise the LORD! LBVS I seen that I had a 846 code yesterday on my transcript so I knew that it had been released, but it still had a 3/30 date for refund deposit. My TA was supposed to call but she didn’t and so I had to go on a hunt all day and find her. When I did talk to her she said that everything had been processed and that she was going to call me in a week. That was it. REALLY?!? So then I mentioned that I had checked my transcript and that it updated. After I heard her click a few times, she said, that I had a DDD for 3/18. Then i checked my WMR this morning and it had updated with the same info. So here’s a recap:
2/2 Filed and accepted the same day (H&R B)
2/17 Letter was sent but not received until 2/21
2/23 Letter, forms faxed
3/6 Transcripts were updated (570 & 971 code)
3/13 Transcripts updated again with 846 Refund Issue code
3/14 WMR updated with DDD of 3/18
Best to you all!!March 13, 2015 at 8:26 pm #4110192
When I called they told me if I didn’t see my refund in 4 weeks call back. It’s been 4 weeks. I am calling back on Monday. If they tell me they have not received my form ( I am in Maine and mailed it to MA so it shoulda taken 2 days tops) then I am gonna fax it even though the letter states not to both fax and mail. I am ALL DONE with the IRS!
I hope someday I owe them money and I can say “Gee it hasn’t been 8 weeks since I opened your letter, call back.”
Bet that would go over real well.
I am a single mom and this is the one year I really was depending on that money to help out.
It’s not fair.March 12, 2015 at 9:35 pm #4110143
Filed and accepted 2/19. Received letter from Irs for missing 1095A 3/10 and faxed back 3/11. I filed with turbo tax and did not get promoted to input anything from the 1095. After completing the 8962, it was found that we owed $600.00. I still don’t understand why, but it is important to complete these forms. If you do, you know what to expect…if not you may risk further hold up. Hopefully I will get it back in two weeks like many others. A fax confirmation is just as good as sending it first class mail. Just make sure to keep the confirmation page. Good luckMarch 12, 2015 at 8:05 pm #4110138
@ Melissa, I calked today and the lady said its not even in their system .. I’m blowed!!!March 12, 2015 at 8:03 pm #4110137
We’re in same boat Melissa.. I filed 1-30-2015 received letter 2-17-2015 mailed it back and still nothing here either..I think we should have fax it back even though the letter stated if I fax then they have no way to verify receipt of it… Let’s go have a margarita together and discuss this…lolMarch 12, 2015 at 4:28 pm #4110133
Mailed 12c letter back on 02/17.
I am beside myself.
I’d like to say congrats to everyone posting their DDD’s but really……..March 12, 2015 at 11:42 am #4110117
WMR UPDATED last night FINALLY had a DD of 3/16!!
My processing was very fast once i sent in my 1095A letter. Good luck everyone!March 12, 2015 at 8:36 am #4110094
I received letter on 03/02 and faxed it in the same day. I still can’t view my transcripts, do you think I should call and ask to see if they’ve received my forms or is it too early. I know some people were saying that it took them 14 days to see an update. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you.March 12, 2015 at 6:46 am #4110087
Checked wmr 3/12 finally approved refund and said March 21st!!!March 11, 2015 at 4:40 pm #4110063
IF YOU FAX WITHOUT 12C letter they will throw it out. Best is to wait for the letter.March 11, 2015 at 4:34 pm #4110062
here’s my experience:
USED TURBO TAX, submitted 1/26 IRS originally REJECTED due to wrong dependent social. I corrected and resent, and they were accepted.
For 2 weeks i was stuck on 1 bar, then the 3rd week they disappeared. My transcripts have all said N/A except RETURN transcript which had stated no return received.
After 21 days i called IRS, 1st rep said my return was never received
2nd rep said that they were processing
3rd rep finally said it looks like i will get a letter but not under a review
it was a 12c letter stating they did not receive my 1095a from covered ca. (thanks obama)
5 days later 3/2 the letter was actually sent out, and i received 3/4
I immediately faxed the missing 1095a ONLY (NOT OTHER FORM 8962) and called 2 days after they said they had them and to call if i did not receive my refund in 4 weeks.
LAST NIGHT TRANSCRIPTS FINALLY UPDATED WITH 3/30 PROCESSING DATE AND CYCLE 20151003, NO WMR UPDATE THOUGH OR DD.
Happy to see some progress. I’ll let everyone know if i get a wmr update tonight. Good luckMarch 11, 2015 at 3:44 pm #4110058
Surprised TerribleTax allowed everyone to submit without 1095A. I used HRBlock, which I liked much better when it eas still Kiplinger Tax Cut (Mac and PC). HRB kept saying had to wait until next update (to eFile) because IRS and last update it said I had to wait until next update (Mar 16) becsuse I had more than one 1095A (despite my best efforts, when I applied for premium credits mid-year and chose exact same policy, everyone treated as different policy and that generated another 1095A. The pre-credit policy 1095A had no values for SLCSP. Made even less than estimated when I applied for ctedit and needed additional credit sooner, so combined 1095A, labeled it corrected and submitted. Hit 21 days today and for last few days the message changed to refund date will be provided when available. I may have additional problem due MetLife sending a corrected 1099 JUST A FEW DAYS AGO, which my muck up the works. Was POd at HRB, but now Im glad I dont use TT.March 10, 2015 at 8:22 pm #4110012
I filed on the 9th and been calling every day since 21 days after I filed and been getting the run around to wait for the letter. Today I called and a lady said the letter 12C states for me to fax in the form to the above fax. Why couldn’t someone else tell me that days ago. Now I guess its back to waiting. Lord Jesus please touch their system and workers to move faster and process what is needed and forgive me for my error in not knowing I was suppose to file this form, I need my money asap. Amen!March 10, 2015 at 7:58 pm #4110010
Can anyone tell me the fax number? I have not received my letter yet and don’t wanna wait if I do not have to. Thanks!March 10, 2015 at 6:59 pm #4110009
I am waiting on a letter also, and they said it will be the end of the month for me as well. I had a math error, and they are adjusting my refund…SucksMarch 10, 2015 at 2:24 pm #4109995
So I talked to the IRS today. They said that they’ ve received everything and its done processing…. they just have to mail a letter to me informing me of the amount change. She also stated that my refund is scheduled to be released on 3/30. WTH!!! So at this point I have an appointment with a tax advocate on Friday morning due to financial hardship. My money is just currently sitting. -very upsetMarch 10, 2015 at 10:47 am #4109978
I just off the phone with an agent from the IRS. She said since I mail my letter 12c in then it will take 6-8 weeks for them to process it and right now they haven’t even received it.. Post office tracking says it was sign for on feb-23, now today is March 10th and IRS says they don’t have it. The agent also warn me not to fax it since I already mail it and if I do then it will take twice as long. CAN YOU SAY IM STRAIGHT BLOWED!!!!!! WEll let my experience be a warning to others, DO NOT MAIL IT IN, muck what the letter says because mine said their was no way to verify receipt if I fax it in… Fax it in people if you want to get it back ASAP.. Well now I’m going to add up this extra interest I got to pay on these credit cards (I was going to pay them off) oh well.March 9, 2015 at 4:44 pm #4109945
What a bunch of hooey, huh? Filed and accepted Jan 23, day 26 I call and they said wait for a letter no further info. Finally got it Thursday and faxed in 1095-a’s. Now another 6-8 weeks before they come up with some other line of crap. They could have told me this stuff when my bars disappeared what seems like months ago. These people simply can’t be that incompetent, I suspect politicsMarch 9, 2015 at 4:12 pm #4109944
Now i am seeing my refund amount again on the WMR and still says processing, is anyone else getting this? Last week the amout was gone and i had a refund link and now its gone again, does this mean anything?March 9, 2015 at 10:28 am #4109917
I’m in the same boat as everyone else. I filed 1-30-15 accepted next day and it was processing until February-13-15. I received letter 12c but instead of faxing the 1095-A form with the 8962 form I mailed it because the letter said they have no way to verify receipt of the letter if I fax it..So I mail it first class and it was delivered on Monday february 23rd… Now I’m just waiting for an update on WMR or transcript..March 8, 2015 at 11:17 pm #4109904
Can someone please post the fax number for sending a copy of the 1095-A to the IRS? I called and they said that’s what they needed though I have received no letters. I have been in processing since 1/28. NOW they are regenerating an letter I never received and that could take up to 4 weeks to receive. This is so frustrating!!!March 8, 2015 at 8:59 am #4109882
I’ve checked all weekend and I only have 570 code with 0.00 next to it. I’ve read where some people say 570 means more information is needed, yet I am clueless on what information they need. I truly hope they update it Monday so I figure out whats going on with my funds!March 7, 2015 at 7:10 pm #4109874
I checked where’s my refund today and I have a direct deposit date of march 10th. This is the first day that I’ve seen bars in a long time. My transcript says march 23 so maybe this is hope for people who also have march 23 on their transcripts.March 6, 2015 at 11:54 am #4109777
I was also able to view transcripts as of this AM…I filed on the 19th of Feb. Accepted next day. I do have the approval code of 846 with the 3/23 date (which I read means nothing or possibly means that by then they for sure must have released your funds/only for their records if that makes sense) ….I also have a cycle date of 20150905 which should result in an update with a ddd tomorrow morning ( so far I am only on one bar/received return)….I just assume this since ppl have posted updates to wmr even on sat with ddd. Now the cycle date implicates a ddd of the 11th of February (sooner or later depending of the the method used aka card banks etc.)
Now I assume for those that do not have a 846 code that whatever holds up your process either get a letter or will be done completely processing by the 23rd at the latest….and then it goes by how long the irs takes to issue the refund due to the error or problem that they had with your tax return.
Now there is hope if you do get a ddd by tomorrow or Monday at the latest if you have the same cycle date accompanied with the 23rd date as I do.
I hope that helps someone….more than that I hope we all get this done and over with faster that we think! Good luck!!!March 6, 2015 at 11:29 am #4109774
@MsSmith I was also able to view transcripts today but they were not complete- I know I owe some back money and action is pending. I called the IRS and she said I should have my refund by the end of the month- it says 3-23-15 for me as well. She told me to just keep checking WMR for updates.March 6, 2015 at 9:48 am #4109765
**UPDATE** so today his transcripts changed from having the last code of 570 to a 290 which means he owes back taxes. Now instead of 3-2-15 on the code 570 it says 3-23-15 next to the 290 code. But also has a cycle date of 20150905. But still no 846 code saying refund approved. No change on WMR. So again we still wait. This is officially the PITS!March 6, 2015 at 9:35 am #4109762
@KoKo I was able to view my transcript today (for the first time!) and the account transcript says March 23rd. So I’m not sure if I will need to wait until then to get deposit or if it will maybe come early because I have direct deposit — praying for early!!March 5, 2015 at 6:02 pm #4109735
So I’ve been calling the IRS every day since i sent in my information and yesterday i finally got someone that actually gave me good information he said my return is still in code 224 which means “notice sent no information received back yet” and he told me that i want to be in code 421 or 424 which means it is processing, i really wish i would have written his name and number down bc he was the best by far. So i called this morning and waited on hold for nearly two hours just to talk to another one of these people that gave me the same generic answer all the others kept giving me that it can take up to 30 days to be put in the system and 6 to 8 weeks to process and that the previous rep shouldn’t have given me the information he did which to me means he actually gave me advice no one else would. I also faxed in an additional copy yesterday along with my certified card from USPS for my first attempt and a letter stating it was my second attempt. I thinks it’s complete bull shit that it would take so long for them to take the information i gave them and put it in the computer so that my return can process i did all the work and figuring for them so it can’t be that hard. So I’m going to continue to call every day until they tell me my information was received and my return is processing again.March 5, 2015 at 3:32 pm #4109722
My 1095-A had zeros in column B because I received no advance premium assistance as I was told I did not qualify. However, when I did my taxes, I fell within the correct income range and should get the premium tax credit. I received a letter from the IRS asking for my form 1095-A. I sent it in along with a printout from the healthcare.gov 2014 calculator tool showing what the SLCSP premium should have been in column B each month. Anyone else with this issue? Also what are transcripts and how do you get them?March 5, 2015 at 2:58 pm #4109718
MsSmith, I am in the same boat- Filed on 1/30- received letter sometime the week of the 21st- faxed back on 2/23- status changed online(WMR) (not the (IRS2go app) from not refund amount and the topic 152 reappeared- because I had previously lost the bars and the topic- I know I owe money from last year. not able to see my transcripts.
Let me know if anything changesMarch 5, 2015 at 11:57 am #4109707
Does anyone know if you can fax your 1095 forms after hours or through the night?March 5, 2015 at 11:50 am #4109706
UPDATE: So today was the first day I was able to view my transcripts online. So progress has been made! On my account transcript, it said that I have a DDD of March 23rd. However, where’s my refund still hasn’t updated (I don’t have bars or anything; just the general message that a refund date will be provided). So does this mean that I should get my refund on the 23rd or that it will be sent to the bank on the 23rd?March 5, 2015 at 7:48 am #4109692
Hi! I’ve been reading and following this for the past few weeks and wanted to share my situation. So I filed and was accepted on 2/2 via HR Block. Received letter on 2/21 (it was a Sat.) so I faxed on 2/23. On Monday 3/2 (1 week later), I seen a change on WMR (NOT the mobile app) in which my refund amount had disappeared (I owe money since completing letter requirements), BUT topic 152 link had appeared. This was a change because previously there was no link and I had an actual refund amount. So I’m not sure what any of it means, but it looks like things are maybe moving! No transcripts available eitherMarch 4, 2015 at 7:10 pm #4109669
after being able to view all my transcripts yesterday my wmr updated this morning it says my tax return due date is march 11 and it also stated that my refund was changed (due to me owing 600 dollars to obamacare) it took me 14 days exactly to get approved from the day I faxed in the info needed and 12c letter. so glad the waiting and stress is over. hopefully it will be for all of you soon.
and yes I have seen people on other forums that ive been following in our same situation who have actually received their money.March 4, 2015 at 6:07 pm #4109662
Travanti:no I haven’t got my transcripts but on Monday I was told my refund was released…but now I have to wait for it to hit my bank which will take two weeks…March 4, 2015 at 9:20 am #4109614
@Hanna it took exactly two weeks for me as well
@Jo. yes I received my refund Friday morning after weeks of waiting
@trisha07 have you received your transcripts. I know last time I checked you were able to order them thru mail but couldn’t see them online.March 4, 2015 at 1:48 am #4109595
Transcripts ordered by phone but no luck viewing them online no DDD as of yet…March 3, 2015 at 11:49 pm #4109591
It seems like some people have been able to order transcripts with refund dates but I’m not hearing too many people say they’ve actually received their refund. Has anytime out there actually gotten there money?March 3, 2015 at 4:51 pm #4109554
The hold was supposed to come off yesterday. But nothing has updated on his transcripts yet. So I have no idea what anything means anymoreMarch 3, 2015 at 4:41 pm #4109553
@HANNA; SO WHEN YOU LOOK AT YOUR TRANSCRIPTS DO YOU CAPITALIZE EVERYTHINGMarch 3, 2015 at 9:52 am #4109502
Update: Finally able to see my transcripts today and there is an 846 code saying refund issued. I filed 1/24, got 12c letter 2/17 faxed them in last night. so it took exactly 2 weeks for my transcripts to show. WMR didnt update yet but hopefully it will by tomorrow!March 2, 2015 at 5:54 pm #4109445
I got the 12c letter on Feb 17th, and faxed over all of my requested information that night. Still no change except today I get the same exact letter in the mail AGAIN! I don’t get itMarch 2, 2015 at 4:02 pm #4109434
I filed my return on 01/29 and after waiting for my 21 days i called on the 19th and the guy told me that i was getting a letter to send in my 1095A and my 8962 and he gave me the address in Andover,MA and a really long number and told me to put it to the attention of the ERS Dept. So that i didn’t have to wait to get the letter and i could send everything in which i did and i overnighted it and certified it to make sure they got it which per the certification letter they received it on the 20th. I’ve called several times since then to verify it was correct and that it went to the right place and that they are processing it but the only answer they keep giving me is that it can take up to 30 days to process which is really pissing me off i just want to know all the info was right and went to the right place. So just as a back up im filling out another 8962 and printing out another 1095A and I’m faxing it this time with the cover letter that came with the 12C letter i received last Friday I’m not going to chance that the info the guy gave me was wrong and it didn’t go to the right department or have the right information on it.March 2, 2015 at 2:38 pm #4109419
Filed and accepted on 01/22. Both my 1095-a and my 8962 were submitted with my return. On 02/17 recieved a letter stating they wanted a copy of my 1095-a.
I called today since its been almost 2 weeks since I sent in their requested info and the lady could not tell me anything! She said wait 4 weeks and call back, I just wanted to make sure they got my paperwork but she couldn’t tell me.
This is such a horrible unfair situation for those of us that followed the rules and purchased healthcare.March 2, 2015 at 11:39 am #4109403
i efiled my taxes through turbo tax on jan 21, 2015 and was accepted the same day. I never got a ddd and then a few weeks ago received letter needing my 1095-a form and form 8932 which i never received. I faxed in the info and still havent got a date and unable to get transcripts. After several weeks of trying to reach someone at the irs i finally spoke to a very nice woman today who put me on hold several times because she couldnt see where i even filed my 2014 taxes. She then came back and said they did receive my forms via fax and should be processed within 10 business days and should have my refund within 4 weeks, its been 2 weeks so maybe this week or next i will get my refund. Just wanted to update anyone having the same problem.March 2, 2015 at 11:33 am #4109402
@trisha0711 Not yet. He has a 570 with a date of today next to it. So I am praying that something changes today, and he can get a 846 which means refund sent. Everyone at the IRS is still saying 4-6 weeks. So we are going to keep checking his transcripts to see if anything changes.March 2, 2015 at 10:08 am #4109392
@MSNICKI; DO YOU HAVE ANY UPDATE YET… AND TO EVERYONE ELSE THAT WAS ABLE TO ORDER TRANSCRIPTS HAD A UPDATE ON WMR OR ANY OTHER NEWS…March 2, 2015 at 9:36 am #4109390
@Travanti; the last today told me I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks from the 25th of this month to receive my refund…: (February 28, 2015 at 11:04 am #4109277
@trisha07 yes I did. It posted to sbbt on the 26th and my bank account yesterday morningFebruary 28, 2015 at 11:03 am #4109276
any luck on your part. ours is in the same situation. accepted jan 24. received letter 23 days later faxed the papers now going on two weeks since fax and still processing. The lady I spoke with was rude all i asked was if fax was received. as of 2/28 still waiting maybe next week i hope soFebruary 27, 2015 at 7:39 pm #4109196
@travanti: well I was locked out online so I ordered them by phone… So I don’t know the codes…. Did you get your deposit todayFebruary 27, 2015 at 5:24 pm #4109183
@tiffany tucker 855-204-5020
@trisha07 That is actually great news. did you have a cycle number on your transcript or a 846 code. Once I was able to view my transcripts WMR updated the next day for me. May be Monday since it’s the weekendFebruary 27, 2015 at 8:35 am #4109133
Glad to see some of you are seeing some movement. I’m still stuck with nothing. Faxed papers in on 1/29 and WMR is still stuck at processing and n/a on transcripts. I’ve called 3 times already and all they keep telling me is it’s processing and I have to wait up to 8 weeks since I faxed the papers before anything changes.February 27, 2015 at 8:03 am #4109128
I had same issue.. I faxed letter on 2/10 and finally saw some movement today.. Took about 2 weeksFebruary 27, 2015 at 3:19 am #4109114
I was finally able to order my transcripts by phone since I was locked out from online…so now is there any way I’ll know when I will get an update on my refund this has to be some kind of good news…I’m happy with this movementFebruary 26, 2015 at 11:35 pm #4109109
Can anyone give me the fax number I was told to mail it? Can someone please help me so i can get it processed faster?February 26, 2015 at 7:01 pm #4109084
Anna; I faxed my papers in on the 19th yesterday I called they told me they received my paperwork but the I was now in review..but travanti informed me that he was told the same thing and a week later he was finally able to see his transcripts… Its just different for everyone….but with my luck its something new now…smhFebruary 26, 2015 at 6:33 pm #4109083
I got a letter and called them. Apparently they thought I purchased health insurance through the marketplace. Once I fax it, how long will it take for me to receive my refund? Have you received yours? Thanks for the reply!February 26, 2015 at 6:29 pm #4109082
@anna; have you got a letter you can fax it in or mail it in as wellFebruary 26, 2015 at 6:01 pm #4109075
I filed Jan 31st and got accepted on Feb 1st. After my 21st day I called in to check what was going on and they told me that I didn’t attach the form 1095-a. I am on medi-cal and don’t get that form… but they still want some type of proof. Would I be able to fax proof or mail it in? Thank you. It has been very frustrating!February 26, 2015 at 4:49 pm #4109068
I’m happy for you guys..at least there is some movement… On my end I’m locked out of my transcripts..now they say I’m under review and I tried to order my transcripts by phone and its still not available.. So its not looking good for me..February 26, 2015 at 3:53 pm #4109062
@trisha07. I called a lot but it kind of added on to the anxiety because I constantly got the run around. My experience was kind of like MelissaM and amber. It took about three weeks from the time they received my faxed infoFebruary 26, 2015 at 1:37 pm #4109041
*update* Filed originally 1/20 and accepted same day. On my 21st day I called and was told a letter would be mailed because I was missing form 8962 and would need to send in form 1095-a, the letter, and form 8962. Finally got the letter on 2/17 and faxed in the stuff the next morning. I called last Friday and she said that she couldn’t see where it was in my file, it didn’t mean that they didn’t receive it, but they haven’t put it in the system yet. I called again on Tuesday and the guy told me that they received it and it would be processed within 10 business days and I should get my refund in 4 weeks. I checked my returns several times yesterday and they updated around 9pm. I could finally view my 2014 return transcript but the account still had not updated and showed no return filed. Today I checked and my account transcript updated with 846 code and cycle date of 20140805… after researching that means that refund issued and DDD is Tuesday. WMR hasn’t updated yet, hopefully tonight. So I guess it varies with everyone since I just sent in the stuff last week. Will update when I actually get my refund.February 26, 2015 at 11:00 am #4109019
I just wanted to give a quick update and a little hope to those still waiting after sending in missing forms 1095-a / 8962. I faxed in the requested forms on 2/10, was able to see transcripts on 2/24 and WMR updated 2/25 with DDD of 2/27/15. Just checked SBBT (I filed through Turbotax) and they show that they received my refund from the IRS, so I am just waiting for it to be posted to my bank account. It looks like it is taking 3 weeks from the time they receive the missing forms for them to process your return and release your refund.
As soon as your transcripts update and you see the 846 code, you should get a DDD within 24 hours and your refund 5-7 days later. I know every case is probably different but I wanted to share my experience because I had all but lost hope that I would see my refund before April. Keep checking for your transcripts…they update throughout the day. I had a horrible experience this year, and will not be filing on opening day again. Good luck everyone!!February 25, 2015 at 11:22 pm #4108980
@travanti: so should I call everyday..lol…or just wait to see if maybe just maybe I can get into my transcripts and get some kind of good news…February 25, 2015 at 10:57 pm #4108977
@trisha07. Yes I called even after they told me about the review because I felt like they were giving me the runaround. I was told that it’s considered under review because the return had to go to the error processing department due to missed forms and that causes the review. They will then review the form to make sure the information matches up. I know they will give the generic 4-6 or 6-8 week answer but it only took three from the time they received my faxed info. I didnt receive a second letter just the initial missing paperwork letter.February 25, 2015 at 7:04 pm #4108940
@Travanti:its really irritating that we have to go through all this..I lost my job in January didn’t think this was going to happen and now this….did you call everyday after they told you you were under review she kept saying they might send me a letter…why would she say that…she basically told me we got your paperwork and now its being reviewed…smh…can we just get some good news…February 25, 2015 at 4:35 pm #4108925
trisha0711 actually they told me that last week and I was upset that I was thinking that it would take an extra week but it all updated this weekFebruary 25, 2015 at 2:32 pm #4108911
@Travanti..when you called and called did they ever tell you that your paperwork was received and is being held for review…they told me that today.. The lady said that its not necessarily a bad thing but that it could just be that they are reviewing the info I sent inFebruary 25, 2015 at 2:13 pm #4108909
@Travanti CONGRATS!! im happy at least one of us has a ddd!! We called yesterday and got no where fast.. she said the number next to his 570 code was some kind of processing date, and to call back on monday. If nothing by then, then to wait another 4 weeks. :-(February 25, 2015 at 9:15 am #4108880
@shay I had the same issue. Received my letter on 2/2 and faxed papers in 2/3. Called everyday and got different answers but my transcripts finally updated the morning of 2/24 and I just received a DDD for 2/27 this morning on WMR.February 25, 2015 at 5:38 am #4108859
I filed and was accepted 1/28. Was told on 2/19 they had mailed letter re: 1095a and 8962. The rep said letter was mailed 2/10. Received and faxed forms on 2/24. So how long will it take for my refund to be issued.
Anyone fax their forms and get refund yet???February 24, 2015 at 4:39 pm #4108811
Update…Filed and accepted 1/20 through TT. Received my letter requesting copies of my 1095-A and 8962 on 2/9. Faxed info to the IRS on 2/10. As of this afternoon (2/24), I am FINALLY able to view all my transcripts for the first time with the 846 code. Hopefully WMR will update tonight with a DDD. Going off of the research I have done, I should get my refund around 3/2 (fingers crossed).February 24, 2015 at 2:34 pm #4108781
I been watching this blog for about 3 weeks because I am in the same boat as everyone hear I file on Jan 20 and was accepted the same day waiting my 21 days and my tax agent telling me everything was ok when it wasn’t got my letter on Feb. 12 and faxed my papers in on the 13th. I called the irs and they told me the couldn’t tell me anything just I should have my refund in 4-8 weeks. My question is “will it really take that long?”I want give u the sad bah bah story but I need my money like 2 months ago lol. Please everyone keep updating ur situations. And if anyone has received a refund after this problem posted amount of time it took to receive it.
Oh yeah I tried to order transpcrits today and it said not available.February 24, 2015 at 11:51 am #4108760
***UPDATE*** After about a month of waiting all of my transcripts finally updated this morning with the 846 and the cycle code of 20150802. It’s also showing that the refund is being issued 03-16-15. Of course I called about 3 times a day since I received my letter and faxed the info back at the beginning of FebFebruary 21, 2015 at 4:21 am #4108394
Anyone get an update? I was able to ordertranscripts finally last week on 2/13 but no change since thenFebruary 20, 2015 at 10:33 am #4108223
Can you please give me the number you fax it over.? I haven’t received the letter they supposed to send it on feb. 9 I still havent received it. and its 2*20*15February 19, 2015 at 7:01 pm #4108108
Should I try reaching out to a tax advocateFebruary 19, 2015 at 5:31 pm #4108101
Form 8962 sorry it deleted it by accidentFebruary 19, 2015 at 5:30 pm #4108100
Hannah just print out form On the irs website and your 1095A from the healthcare website and call the irs to get your batch number then mail it i never got mine either and this is what the guy at the irs told me to do. Also get which place you need to send it to addressFebruary 19, 2015 at 3:30 pm #4108083
I don’t know what’s going on with my refund now. I filed on 1/9 was accepted 1/12. Got letter 12c on 1/29 and faxed all papers in the same day. I have no bars on WMR and n/a on all transcripts. I called today and first was told it hasn’t been 21 days since I was accepted. Had to flip out on this poor woman to make her understand that it’s been well past 21 days. Then she checks my stuff and can’t find anything in my account. She checked every error code she has and it all says processing. She can’t even find that they sent me a letter or if any faxes were received. EVERYTHING says processing. This is complete BS, all this because of healthcare?? I’m completely fed up. She told me to wait a few days and see if anything changes… ya I’ll hold my breath on that!February 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm #4108066
I found out my letter was coming almost 2 weeks before I got it. So I used the fax numbers here to go ahead and send it over. I also mailed it to the irs offices. I got the letter 3 days ago and faxed it in the right way with the letter, batch number, etc. And I called today to check on it. The girl said it hasn’t been processed yet but that doesn’t mean they didn’t get it just haven’t worked on it yet and to call back in 2 weeks if I don’t see change on wmr. I asked about the first ones I faxed and she said that if there isn’t a batch number and the letter they sent then they don’t even look at it, just toss it.February 18, 2015 at 8:34 pm #4107878
You need the letter to make sure u send it to the appropriate batch. There are diffewnt batches each case goes to and that rep jandles the information. Also HRB screwed up as well. Theycare the educated ones in this subject and should know the lingo being used. All i knew was Obama Care npt market place. Hey should have explained exactly what wpuld be needed. Instead they were quick to get our business and fail ro insure accuracy.
I pray it doea not take the full 6 to 8 weeks since it is not an amended return! Please continue to update when u actually gwt your return and how long it took.February 18, 2015 at 3:59 pm #4107823
***UPDATE*** Just spoke with someone else and was informed that they received my fax. She stated that once they receive your fax it takes 10 business days to work the error and you will receive your refund within the 4 weeksFebruary 18, 2015 at 2:58 pm #4107808
It has been two weeks since I faxed my forms back and I still have no answers. Transcripts are still showing NA and every time I call I’m given the generic 4-6 week reply. Called the advocate line and was actually asked what would are u calling for. I received my state tax refund about 3 weeks ago and lord knows Mississippi is extremely slow smh.February 18, 2015 at 9:30 am #4107728
**update** still have the same cycle code on transcripts.. 20150605 which would be today.. No DD on WMR.. but have code 570 on transcripts now. So i guess another hold.. UGH!!! We filed over a month ago!!! Faxed in the paper work 2 weeks ago. This sucks BAD!!February 18, 2015 at 9:08 am #4107722
the irs sent me the letter on the feb 6 . received yesterday and faxed the papers today. so many people i read are having this done. hopefully it wont belong now if they actually do their endFebruary 17, 2015 at 11:10 am #4107501
The fax number for sending in your 1025-A and 8962 is 855-204-5020. Make sure you send both.February 16, 2015 at 9:07 pm #4107411
So I was told my 12c letter was mailed out on the 6th, it is now the 16th and I haven’t gotten it yet. I was told the letter was sent from the irs processing center in Andover MA. Did anyone else get their 12c from the Andover MA center and if so can you please give me the fax number for that center that was on the 12c letter? Any information would be really appreciated!!February 15, 2015 at 9:26 am #4107162
I received a 12c letter on 2/5. I previously had 1 bar and tax topic 152. I filed on 1/21 and kept calling to see what was wrong and they kept telling me nothing. I faxed all the information over on Sunday 2/8. I was worried about them not receiving. I finally spoke to a helpful person who was willing to go the extra mile. She told me the 12c letter was closed on 2/9 which mean they received the information. She also told me I was on day 16, because my return was accepted on 1/29 but they were on 1/21. I didn’t dig deep into that because I wanted to know whats next. She told me I should have my refund within 30 days of my day of acceptance. She told me to keep paying attention to wmr. She didn’t even say it will take 6-8 weeks. She told me they are reviewing and processing. I am hoping and praying she was correct. I hope I will get an update tonight.February 15, 2015 at 7:00 am #4107159

Hi I am still waiting on my letter requesting the 1095A. It was mailed on 2/3 they say and have not gotten it yet. Can anyone tell me where to fax it to. I’m getting no help from irs. TiaFebruary 13, 2015 at 5:32 pm #4106877
@jo they asked to mail in both.. the 1095-a and the 8962February 13, 2015 at 2:44 pm #4106823
msnicki, did they only ask that you mail the 1095a form or additional forms?February 13, 2015 at 12:47 pm #4106789
I filed and was accepted on 1/20. On 2/9 I received a letter about the 1095-A and 8962 forms and faxed them in the next day. I don’t know how long to wait before I should call to check the status and see if received my fax. Does anyone know if a Tax Advocate would be able to help in this situation (with hardship)? This has been so frustrating. I have never had to wait more than 7-10 days for my refund.February 13, 2015 at 9:16 am #4106682
I am also able to order transcripts this morning, I couldn’t yesterday. Still no update on WMRFebruary 13, 2015 at 8:41 am #4106663
I was able to veiw all of my transcripts this morning and I have code 846 (refund issued) and cycle code 20150605. WMR has not updated yet, but I think it will in the morning. I will let everyone know if it does.February 13, 2015 at 8:12 am #4106653
***Update*** So this morning he was able to order his 2014 transcripts to have them mailed. He checked all week and they were unavailable. He couldn’t view them online because it kept saying the info was wrong. So I guess that means some kind of progress has been made. I am getting kind of excited now. I still have my fingers crossed.February 12, 2015 at 1:29 pm #4106326
I filled 1/21/15 and waited my 21 days called the IRS and they said they sent me out a letter on the 4th about my 1095-a and it is now the 12th. Does anyone know how long it takes to get to uFebruary 10, 2015 at 10:21 am #4105166
***Update*** Just called the number on the 12c letter that I received 1-866-682-7451 and ext. 569 and I did not have any problem getting the lady to pull up my account, she was very nice, unlike most of the people at the irs. I told her what I had sent in and she said she would research my account. I was put on hold for about 5 minutes and she verified that they had received all of the requested information by fax and that my return had started to continue processing and that no further information was required from me. I asked about a time frame and I was given what the letter stated 6 to 8 weeks at most, but I feel much better knowing that my fax was received and has been uploaded!!! I was so worried about it being lost in the shuffle. (I also posted this under Letter 12c)February 10, 2015 at 1:15 am #4104971
honestly* not onlyFebruary 10, 2015 at 1:14 am #4104970
Calling only won’t be much help honestly. I called today about three time and got no help. Hell one rep even asked if i filed in 2010,11,12,or 13 which let me know they didn’t look into my acct at all. Pissed me completely off. I received my 12C letter about a week and a half ago and I faxed the 1095-A and Form 8962 back to them. They had no record of receipt of either. Just getting frustrated because I have been accepted since 1/13. I knew it would officially be accepted until the 20th but it has been too long to have no answers.February 10, 2015 at 12:30 am #4104960
@diane: I don’t know if I’d honestly go into lalaland of conspiracies and all, but it’s the government, they drag their feet. Hell I’m at my 21 day point right now and I STILL haven’t receive my 12c letter. TBCH, I’m going to assume the “Errors Resolution” department has X amount of agents vs every other department we all call and talk to, and since it’s in that department they are all manually processed, taking time, etc.
@kay: Did you go through the marketplace at ANY point to even see if you were eligible? Only asking because that’s the only way they’d say you went through the marketplace??? Secondly, it’s not waiting 4 weeks to receive the letter, I was told 5-10 days from the day it’s sent (I guess the mail is slow even when the government is sending it) and then 4 weeks from when they RECEIVE the information they are asking for. As for the no number to call, yea no-one ever told me a number, I just call the number in this thread, and I’ll probably do so again tomorrow since “officially” they’ll be able to look into it more. I’m not expecting a different answer or anything, but more-so maybe some information such as when the letter was sent or anything generic.
As for anyone thinking of doing the hardship approach, the IRS agent today said that you obviously need verifiable eviction notice/shut-off notice to fax to the TAS and even at that, you’ll only MAYBE get the exact amount released that’s shown on that. There is no “hey I got this shut-off notice, I need my return expedited” in a general sense.February 9, 2015 at 5:34 pm #4104802
I filed wit tt acceptes 1/12 did not need a 1095a but the irs put a hold on my taxes .. they said i recieved insurance through the marketplace and i did not… after a day of phone calls and being on hold. I wad told i had to wait 4 weeks for the same letter you are all referring to to be sent out ahain since i never recieved the first one. I was also told there is no number i can call i just havr to wait for the letter and respond by mail.February 9, 2015 at 1:26 pm #4104688
I am a 59 year old woman who recently lost my job and received the letter today.I was accepted on 1/20 so why so long to receive it.this is a conspiracy from the government to delay peoples money. I really need to know how long after I fax it in will I have to waitFebruary 9, 2015 at 12:27 pm #4104645
Filled 2/20/15 and called irs today and say they sent a 12c letter out last thursday and should be getting it any day. He did not know what was missing. Does anyone know if it takes the entire 4 -6 weeks once received or if you actually get within a week or so. I tried looking for previous years to see when they actually got their refund but cant find much at all….any insight on someone who had this done in previous years?February 9, 2015 at 12:22 pm #4104642
Same thing for me I filed 1/8 accepted 1/12 got the IRS letter 1/31 and faxed my 1095a same day. I have no bars on WMR and up until Friday I had the still processing message no tax topic but showed my refund amount. Now I have tax topic 152 and no refund amount shown..as of Friday. I called and they told me pretty much exactly what the letter says 6-8 weeks from the time they receive the form. I really hope I don’t have to wait until March to get my moneyFebruary 9, 2015 at 12:13 pm #4104633
Thanks for the update!February 9, 2015 at 11:27 am #4104611
Called the number in this thread, lady had no qualms about looking up the return after telling her “filed the 20th, accepted late the 20th, got a 12C letter just curious if they received the fax” and she said they did receive the forms, which I’m hoping aren’t the original forms or something and they are the real fax forms. Mentioned 4 weeks still, blah. :PFebruary 9, 2015 at 9:26 am #4104550
@pugtor Thanks for the update.. we pretty much have the same thing. No bars.. no topic… just saying your refund is being processed. Tomorrow will be the 21 days for us. So its not looking good for that 21 days. Which sucks bad!! I am hoping to have some kind of update this Friday. I didn’t hear anything but just wishful thinking.
