    @Helpful Nero – nope, I’ve been filing taxes in Georgia for over 30 years. They did not have an explanation for me as to why it did not get direct deposited.

    @kathyarzola All first-time Georgia income tax filers, or taxpayers who have not filed in Georgia for at least five years, will receive a paper check.

    Anyone having issues with the refund App? It is telling me that my refund is still being processed but the actual website tells me that a check was mailed on Feb 2. Not sure what to believe and I can’t get through to a live person.

    “Your refund is scheduled to be transmitted, or was transmitted, to your designated bank account on 2/8/2017. Please allow 10 business days from that date and verify your designated account information to confirm receipt. If it has been longer than 10 business days, contact the Taxpayer Services Division at 1-877-GADOR11 (1-877-423-6711) to speak to a customer service representative during our normal business hours M-F 8am -5pm.”

    @Mariah, DD posted at 6 a.m. this morning. I have a traditional bank. I too had to call an actual person and have my return released. I had no issues and file the same way every year.

    I spoke with another representative and she approved me after waiting for 15 minutes (put on hold) and she said my refund will be in bank account within 30 days!

    I was hold for several minutes as well but it is worth the wait.
    Now I just hope I see some more movement in the next few days.
    I wonder how long it takes to actually get the money from the day you are actually approved.
    My son’s birthday party is Saturday and I could really use the extra funds.

    This is getting very frustrating. I still have no movement and mine were accepted on the 24th. Anyone else accepted on the 24th or before and still no movement? It states that they are processing them in the order they were received but that can’t be true.

    Used DL to verify with TT…… NO idea what could be wrong. Getting frustrated.

    @gagirl, Have you received your actual direct depost in the bank? If so, did you use Netspend or some other prepaid card? <y GA refund has been approved and I have a GA DD transmission date of 2/6 with a conventional bank and I am wondering when it will actually be deposited into my bank.

    Your refund has been approved and final processing of a refund will be completed in the order that it was received. Please allow 90 business days. If it has been longer than 90 days then contact the Taxpayer Services Division at 1-877-GADOR11 (1-877-423-6711) to speak to a customer service representative during our normal business hours M-F 8am – 5 pm.

    GA claims they are processing them in the order they were received but I find that hard to believe. I see some people who filed and got accepted after me and I still have NO movement on mine. It is crazy. What is the phone number that has been popping up on some of yalls? I think I’m gonna call it just to see lol.

    I filed 1/30/17 had the processing message and to call the number and press option 3. I called today ans she basically verified my idenity. I checked after i called and my status went to approved.

    Hmmm, my message didn’t say option 3. Sometime after 4:00pm yesterday, mine changed to “We’ve received your return, it’s being processed, allow 90 days” and had the added “call xxx-xxx-xxxx to speak to a representative”. No options or anything, just the number. It’s the same message I had last year before they gave me a DDD.

    I guess Georgia is doing all sorts of different things this year. Glad you called and have your DDD now. I’m so skeptical about Georgia’s Tax Department after so much trouble with them in the past. I’m gonna hold my breath til tomorrow morning when I see it in the bank lol.

    Hi all! I highly suggest that if you get the message to “please call them and select option 3” that you do so very soon. I had that message for almost a week thinking that it was a suggestion if I had any questions. I decided to call anyway and it was the fraud prevention line. They just verified my info and that was it. My refund was approved within five minutes and this morning I have a DDD for 2/3. Now I am kicking myself for not calling earlier as I would’ve had the money already.

    Accepted the 23rd and now my message has changed to the “processing allow 90 days please call xxx-xxx-xxxx to speak to a representative” message.

    It did the same thing last year and when I called the lady said I was checking too much lol. I think i got my money a few days later so I’m just gonna wait it out. Georgia knows who I am. We have a long history. Heck, I”ve probably provided Pizza Friday for them through the years with all the money they’ve taken from me.
