Has anyone received the 4464C Letter from IVO = Integrity and Verification Operations letter 2 years in a row?

Last year (2013) I received the IVO letter 2 weeks AFTER I received my full refund. The IRS did not send anymore letters last year nor did they contact me.

This year I filed on 2/3,
      It was accepted 2/4
I received my full state refund 2/8,
On 2/18 I received the 4464C Letter from IVO letter (the same Exact one I received Last year) the letter was dated 2/13.
On 02/23 my WMR bar disappeared and Still says ‘processing’.

I am confused on why I received the SAME letter last year (after I got my DD) & this year (Before I get a DD-I’m still waiting). I will post any updated info as I get it.

              Update Monday, 04/20/2015
I just got off the phone with a second IRS Operator (my first call dropped right as the 1st woman said she was putting in for a referral to release funds because all my info matched my employers info, etc) so of course I had to call back & waited like 30 min and got another woman who was also nice. She mentioned they put a ‘Exam’ on my account til the 23rd however she could not see why or understand why it was there since all my information is correct. (the 1st woman mentioned the same thing) Luckily she put in the referral to release funds. I was to happy to hear that, that I just said thank you & she said thank you for being patient and hung up. I have no idea how long it takes for the referral to go through. smdh I should have asked I was just overjoyed I actually got a live person. If nothing changes on WMR by next Monday the 27th I’ll call to see the time frame. Hopefully I get my refund soon. this 4464C situation is annoying as hell….

Hi Whoever reads this… Today is day 60 & after calling for an hour straight I FINALLY got to speak to an agent. -(Press different #’s when you call to get an agent because if you do the 1(for English) 2,1,4,2 you will go through the same 3-4 min. process just to be told they have to many callers & to call back on another time or day-) It will automatically hang up on you after saying that, Very Frustrating.

The IRS agent I spoke with was Very Nice, asked a few questions, my name, address, filing status, etc. & he said That I received the 4464C Letter because they needed to verify my Employment with my Employer (I just started working there May 2014). He said my Employer Did verify with them (Thank Goodness) He then said & I should soon see my refund date on WMR after April 20th. which will be day 67, Next Monday. He said if I don’t hear/see anything by that date to call (on the 20th) because then they would put in a notice to release my refund. I have no idea if it will happen all I can do is wait & check WMR 1x a day. I’ll definitely keep posting each time I hear something & when I Finally do get my refund. One way or another WE WILL ALL get our Refunds! Hopefully sooner than later.

@Latesa you are more than welcome. I know they have a big update tonight, so hopefully your transcripts will change. I myself have a 570 code, but mine didn’t start until March 25th.

846 is the code you need to look for on your transcripts. It means your funds have been released and it should give you a direct deposit date. Without that code your funds are still being held.

Not sure if anyone read this but here is My Update (& I’ll continue to update to the day I Finally receive my DD. Just in case someone else has to deal with this BS they can at least see the process of someone who went through it)

I filed 2/3, got approved 2/4, received my full state refund 2/8, got the infamous 4464C letter dated 2/13. I have heard nothing & haven’t bothered to call (the letter I got said wait 60 days before calling & after reading about Everyone’s frustrating experience with just calling it’s best I don’t because I will probably start screaming & get hung up on) I Finally got my transcripts with the codes 150/806/766/768 all with a future date of 04/15/2015 (Why is there a future date?) Codes 570 twice dated 3/9 & 3/30 (both have $0 next to them) I have no idea what any of that means so if any of you do PLEASE tell me. The only thing that made me feel like something might happen soon is because my transcript says:
                        — ANY MINUS SIGN SHOWN BELOW SIGNIFIES A CREDIT AMOUNT— (It is in bold) & has the exact amount I am expecting for a refund.  Hopefully I get a refund on 04/15/2015 or at least hear something from them, regardless I will update once something happens. Thank you for reading this…
