      hello group!
Im a first time IS filer and I’m beyond frustrated with the IS process. I filed my return Feb. 2nd and accepted on the 3rd. Found out there was a offset and immediately sent in the IS form to my local IRS office within days of finding out. I checked my transcript daily to see if the IRS received it. My local office waited 2 weeks to send it to the regional center. IRS shows they received my IS on Feb. 18. I spoke to several reps and I got different answers about my IS status. I called last week to find out that my IS was being processed but it will take 4-6 more weeks to process the check!?!? WTF! Did you do for the first 8-9 weeks? Anyone else have this experience or is this normal?

It took 2 weeks after my refund was approved for the irs to mail our check, and it took 4 days to actually receive it.

Hi! I’m new to this forum and three weeks ago (April 9th) I received a letter from the IRS stating my injured spouse claim has been approved and I would be receiving a check within a few weeks. So far, I haven’t received it. Does anyone know how long it takes the IRS to issue a check? Is there a number I can call to see what’s going on?

We got our letter last week (Weds.) stating the amount we will get back after our IS form was done with processing. Hoping soon for the check. Last year we got the check a couple days after we got the decision letter.
