Who has Filed already?
Who will file Soon?
Who isn’t in a rush?
I haven’t filed yet, not in a rush but I will file as soon as I receive my last W2. Not chasing the FB groups like last year lol
February 14, 2018 at 12:30 pm #4216912
@9966 You do not have to pay to look or get your transcript. I can view mine transcript online anytime. I have never been asked to pay for a transcript from off of the IRS website.February 14, 2018 at 12:29 pm #4216910
Technically they should be processing/updating today as the IRS themselves says mid Feb. You can’t get any more MID February than the 14th;) I have no problem waiting for an update Sat. But they always get technical when they require stuff of us…February 14, 2018 at 12:27 pm #4216901
Well this has all been very informative. I filed and was accepted 2/11/18. I use an Ip pin, everything is still the same as last year. Last year I got my refund back in 8 days. I’ve got the one bar so far and the tax topic 152. I just want to know should I see an update on the 17th as well since I filed on the 11th?February 14, 2018 at 12:25 pm #4216896
While we’re all waiting I figured I would ask: Apparently my wife and I were exempt from the shared contribution “tax” for not having healthcare for the last few years. When I file amended returns, can I do multiples at a time, or do I have to do them one at a time? Anyone know how far back the exemption goes? We’re looking at several thousands we’ve paid in while meeting multiple exemption criteria. Just didn’t know the form existed to waive the $1,000+ in annual penalties.February 14, 2018 at 12:20 pm #4216887
They are just reminding everyone. That info was there long before w2’s even started going out lol.
And @9966 wrong again. No cost for transcripts. Ever. Period.

@9966: It didn’t update today. That was what I thought I said. My point was that, even last year, I got my refund before WMR ever updated passed the PATH message we all have right now.
WMR is helpful, but your refund date isn’t dependent ON WMR’s update.February 14, 2018 at 12:00 pm #4216859
If you go to irs.gov and look at the news you will see an article (dated yesterday) avoid the tax rush and in the 6th paragraph is the information for the 17th update for the majority of early filersFebruary 14, 2018 at 11:52 am #4216848
No WMR update for me as of today, but then again I wasn’t really expecting one. Last year I received my refund 4 days before WMR updated from PATH – Topic 152 – No Amount. I’d say many of us are in that 7-day countdown at this point. Can’t wait to take my kids shopping for new clothes! Man, do they grow like weeds!February 14, 2018 at 11:28 am #4216829
@skittlez I think I read somewhere else that ssa didnt update your income but your return is completed?? My situation f+a 2/2 updated to PATH 2/10 ssa does not have my income for this year reported and some years are wrong. Btw thanks for answering my first question. Its a lot of questions and comments on here lol.February 14, 2018 at 11:26 am #4216823
Sorry my last comment should’ve said @Harley not sandi.February 14, 2018 at 11:24 am #4216820
my File Date was 1/22 and accepted same day
Cycle Date 20180402 (Not exactly sure what this means)
Processing Date 2/12/2018 (no update since Path Message on 1/29/2018)
My Direct Deposit day Last year says 2/22/2017 (processing date was 2/13/17)
I feel like I saw something at least a week beforehand with a DDD. Honestly though, I can’t remember.February 14, 2018 at 11:22 am #4216816
All the Feb 27th stuff is just an irs security blanket. They gave the Same date last year and people started seeing money as early as the 20th (maybe earlier). I had mine on the 22nd (with a ddd of the 22nd).
The IRS can start sending $ out as soon as tomorrow. But most of us will probably have our deposits on the 21/22nd.
And @Sandi that irs message didn’t pop up yesterday, it’s been on the irs site since at least december.February 14, 2018 at 11:17 am #4216811
So question for those of you today – Turbo Tax says that I should have a DDD of 2/14 buuuuut yeah no nothing is there. Does that mean they got it and are processing the fees on their end? When I got on WMR I have nothing just the path act no bars or anything.
I have already received my state.February 14, 2018 at 11:14 am #4216809
Still path. I hope it’s not the 27 of February.February 14, 2018 at 11:12 am #4216804
This may have been asked and answered already but there are way too many posts to backtrack……
My direct deposit goes into my account 2-3 days earlier than other employees at my job (American Express Bluebird card) so if they are stating most people should see funds by 27th, what day are we thinking they are releasing to banks? I’m hoping to get mine in account early next week!! Fingers and toes crossed LOLFebruary 14, 2018 at 11:05 am #4216788
-Filed 1/31 and accepted the same day.
-Claimed both credits.
-WMR has had PATH msg since 2/2
-Cycle: 20180505 I think I’m a weekly update so I’m hoping to see something by saturday. Also, my tax transcript has been available so my fingers are crossed.
I’m hoping we all see a change by saturday.
Some good information on here. I’ve been checking this forum daily so I figured I might as well join.February 14, 2018 at 10:56 am #4216783
I didn’t know that!February 14, 2018 at 10:50 am #4216777
@nikesha November because it could be blank. But if you filed before last week it is possible that you are processed so I hope you receive a complete transcript. Good luck. Wishing for ddd for all of us here on the 17th!February 14, 2018 at 10:45 am #4216766
Good morning and Happy Valentine’s Day to all!
One day closer….
I’ve just been lurking and cracking up at comments and some people’s ignorance. Jeeeeez :)February 14, 2018 at 10:43 am #4216756
@Amb maybe you need to call because the tax advocate department stated that no matter what the situation is they are taking NO CASES for hardships until after the 27th which is when Pathers are scheduled to receive their refunds. Maybe you should read previous posts before you bring in last year’s information. And furthermore you need to read your own reply that says you apologize for bringing information or whatever but it was not for the immediate insults.
And nobody will know if they need to file for a hardship before the 17th when we see the update that we already knew about before you thought you were correcting Lance who stated the exact same thing.February 14, 2018 at 10:29 am #4216732
Just a quick question, if you can order your return transcript by mail, does that mean you’re done processing?February 14, 2018 at 10:15 am #4216713
This is from the IRS website. Earliest we will see funds in our bank account is Feb 27.
The IRS issues most refunds in less than 21 days, although some require additional time. You should only call if it has been:
•21 days or more since you e-filed
•6 weeks or more since you mailed your return, or when
•”Where’s My Refund” tells you to contact the IRS
Taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit may experience a refund hold. According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue these refunds before mid-February. The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, 2018, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.February 14, 2018 at 10:12 am #4216698
@sandi I went to IRS.gov and looked up the path act u can find it right on the irs site I just copied and pastedFebruary 14, 2018 at 9:56 am #4216675
Weekly updates cycle code ends in 05 we should see 846 Refund issued on Friday. If you filed after 2/5 hopeful for Sat but it will most likely be next SaturdayFebruary 14, 2018 at 9:49 am #4216667
@skittlez My apology was not for you. It was Incase Lance felt as insulted as you did, that was not my intention. Tax advocates can help NOW for the people who need it facing eviction , loss of electric , foreclosure etc. If you have not gotten a notice or ask to ID verify then apparently you do not. You are waiting like the rest of us for a Saturday or daily update after 2/15. I hope all the negative people get there money ASAP. The people I work with typically don’t get refunds they owe. Tax resolutions. So yes I’m waiting for my money but I’m definitely not clueless.February 14, 2018 at 9:37 am #4216652
The irs released the information yesterday.February 14, 2018 at 9:15 am #4216628
Im just wondering where you are getting your information?February 14, 2018 at 8:26 am #4216539
Where’s My Refund? on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go mobile app will be updated February 17 for the vast majority of early filers who claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on Where’s My Refund? or through their software packages until thenFebruary 14, 2018 at 8:05 am #4216503
It’s possible that he looked at a credit to see what it was and went through some prompts, saw it wasn’t applicable to him, but didn’t delete/refresh it before e-filing… it wouldn’t have likely given him a credit but it’s possible that, if he went through an online site, a form (blank) might have been submitted.February 14, 2018 at 2:49 am #4216253
My friend filed 1/22, accepted same day. He’s been on the path message since then. He filed with the same dependants this year, same address. The only thing that was different is that he had a different w2 this year from changing jobs. He received a letter this morning from the IRS saying he’s being audited & needs to provide supporting documents for the eic & actc & the American opportunity credit. I understand double checking the eic & actc. But he’s not a student & I reviewed his return & he didn’t claim the American opportunity credit. So I’m extremely confused & not sure what to tell him. Has this happened to anyone else? He’s calling tomorrow, but I’ve never seen this before.February 14, 2018 at 12:31 am #4216280
Twice in a row…February 14, 2018 at 12:30 am #4216277February 14, 2018 at 12:30 am #4216275
Damn we on point!!!February 14, 2018 at 12:29 am #4216273
150 Tax return filed
766 Credit to your account
806 W-2 or 1099 withholding
Those are not the “Uh-oh” codes, so you should be good for nowFebruary 14, 2018 at 12:29 am #4216271
150 – return filed
766 – Credit to your account
806 – Credit for your withheld taxesFebruary 14, 2018 at 12:21 am #4216269
@amb You swear to apologize for bringing info but of course you apologized to the wrong person so evidently I have you figured right. We know what an advocate can do but somebody is paying you & you don’t even know that an advocate can’t help us at this time??? They’re paying you & you you’re here just like us trying to “figure things out” because you’re just as lost as the rest of us… so that you can look like a hero to your clients when you go back to them & repeat what LANCE said or whomever else you want to call out but yet repeat the same information that he already gave previously. Yet after you insult him you wanna apologize for “informing those who don’t know”. Again have several seats. I’m not an advocate for anyone you owe an apology to the “right person” for what you “actually” did.February 14, 2018 at 12:05 am #4216261
Path message, ordered transcripts and received today with codes 150,766 and 806. Does anyone know what this means?February 13, 2018 at 10:43 pm #4216226

Now just waiting for my next update on my transcript this Thurs or Fri (I am a weekly) if I will get a 846 and for my WMR to update this Saturday, if I have any changes to my acct transcript. So far it’s going smoothly.February 13, 2018 at 10:24 pm #4216214
My tax dates filed 1/28 accepted 1/29 cycle code 20180505 expecting an update Saturday. Still sitting on Path like the rest of us who claimed children and EIC. Prayers for everyone who needs there money!February 13, 2018 at 10:13 pm #4216208
Hostility.. I don’t think it’s right to be negative towards people. Knowledge is power and there are people here truly trying to educate themselves and the negativity is not speeding up anyone’s refund. I don’t have to prove myself to anyone. That is not why I come here. I get paid for what I do 365 a year. These forums help me see when refunds get released current WMR updates , to track my own date etc. If you are offended by my post I’m sorry but not everyone here knows about tax advocates. It may come in handy if Anyone runs into any snags with the IRS , if you can prove your hardship they will help you, if you already know that then no reason to be negative because a lot of people do not.February 13, 2018 at 9:32 pm #4216180
Thank you Momjess, negasonic teenage warhead, Lance, brideofchaotica, & Geishadol_39.February 13, 2018 at 8:48 pm #4216139
Guess you can’t edit your post where spellcheck when you need it .. lolFebruary 13, 2018 at 8:42 pm #4216135
Is lance a tax prof??…or just a forum junkie, your insights are great especially for those who need it. Having the time to respond to everyone is awesome. This is my career and transcripts are best way to get an early answer about you refund ,every year it goes a little different so I monitor these forums to see if there are audit , ID verify and notice patterns because each year they move differently .Cycle codes do not give you refund date they give you weekly or daily updates. There is no exact way other then seeing it processed 846 refund issues on the account transcript to tell when you will get your refund. Good luck all ,as long as you legally filed your taxes you will be fine. If you have any issues with your refund getting held up and your in hardship , please contact your local tax advocate they will guide you through the process and get your refund released stat. Good luck allFebruary 13, 2018 at 8:00 pm #4216096
@Skittlez I have codes 150, 806, 766 and 768. Next to 806, it says “W2 or 1099 withholding”. The amount next to 806 is the correct amount of our w2 withholding combined with my 1099 withholding amount, so I know that includes my 1099. SSA.gov had my self employment income on their since 2/2. I filed on 1/30.February 13, 2018 at 7:46 pm #4216070
Filed 2/1 accepted same day
Received ddd of 2/14 on 2/9
Did have the child tax credit
Just looked at bank and it was there! Was not there earlier today so had to have been in the past hourFebruary 13, 2018 at 6:57 pm #4216036
negasonic teenage warhead
Yes @skittles 1099 is self employed. I wonder why yours hasnt updated yet?February 13, 2018 at 6:52 pm #4216028
Aren’t 1099s for self employment? I filed schedule C and it’s still not there on ssa.gov. Maybe they’re just slow.February 13, 2018 at 6:32 pm #4216007
@kaii Lance has already explained that a few times. We just say Saturday to keep ourselves sane in case it doesn’t happen on the day we “want” it to. LolFebruary 13, 2018 at 6:00 pm #4215996
It says the amount of my income and its for the year of 2017….I’m a Pather also but I didn’t go through this last year because I had to mail my return due to the I.R.S. assigning me an IP pin last year that I never received. I filed electronically this year with my IP pin so now I’m waiting just like everyone else…thanks so much for the info.
