Good news! Filed and accepted on Feb.1, bars dissapeared. Approved and refund sent today with a ddd of March 19. There’s hope for the hopeless! Oh and
the full amount was approved. Injured spouse form was received on Feb. 10. Prayer works!

Well my as of date changed last Monday to 3/31 and everything looks the same. Did u have a code for injured spouse received?

    @patrick

@cmbreede Yes, my as of date updated to 3/24 when I got my refund code. Before that, it was stuck at 2/24.

@JDobb – Yeah, since your IS form was received on February 22nd, there isn’t much you can do at this point but just wait for a notation on your transcript that the 8379 has been worked and the refund approved. Good luck!

@Patrick- I have codes following the 846 on my transcripts, it says 898 $0.00 and then 971 IS recieved 2-22-14

Has anyone’s as of date changed at the top? Mine is 3-31-14 where it was 2-24-14 just wondering trying to figure all this out.

I haven’t received anything yet… my transcripts were the same yesterday and i got locked out today… as of yesterday my codes go…. 846 2/24/14…. 898 2/24/14…. 971 injured spouse form received 2/18/14…. i mailed my form on 2/14/14… i couldn’t believe they received it in 4 days…. so as i understand it…. they released my money to the debt so i have to wait for them to reverse it and then refund it again… also i take my 971 code as your 570 code…. same date for me…. so i have many questions… nothing in the mail today…. WMR shows where they paid the debt but nothing else…. its so stressful…. its my debt… i don’t work outside the house so it is all my husbands income… so i think they will refund our whole amount…. i am hoping

Sorry not Kristin, that was for injuredashley

    Chaddox

Kristin looking at tax codes it says that 971 means a letter is being issued showing they they kept some or all toward a debt

    Chaddox

Injuredashley do you know if he efiled?

    #21345 Reply

    Kristin

Does anyone know when and/or how often the transcripts update? ie Is it worth checking several times a day or is it like the WMR site that only updates at midnight?

    injuredashley

Hey everyone!!! My Story—E-filed both together on January 25th, accepted next day. 2-3 weeks in WMR status changed to good ol “a deposit date will be provided when available”. So here I sit and I wait, obsessively, checking WMR for an update and my account transcripts for an 846 code(deposit code) to show up beneath my 570 code which by the way has the 2-24-14 date next to it… I do know from reading other threads that there was a guy with 2-18-14 next to his 570 code that got his refund Tuesday…from reading other threads a averagely accurate statement that has been made is that roughly 3 weeks after your 570 code date is when u should get a DDD and also ur status on WMR roughly switches 2-3 days prior to that.

Now that ive given my guess-taments, I have a question……I have read that a lot of people see a 971 code following their 570 code on their transcripts, and this codes shows that money has been applied to your debt…. Is this true for everyone??? I hope not, because if so, I guess I have a longer wait than initially presumed.

Well cmbreede maybe we will be in the next batch! Fingers crossed! TreeStone have you received yours?

My 570 was on 2/24. So if that’s the case I’ll be thrilled. But not going to hold my breath. Things rarely go that well for me lol

if the 3 week thing is right…. maybe some good news for ya…. crossing my fingers…. i have noticed that there is not near as many injured spouse people on here this year…. alot of the identity theft people…. so maybe that’s a good thing for us…..

the date on my 570 code was 2/24/14 so I am hopeful to hear something soon.

    #21329 Reply

    Chaddox

Yeah I’m looking at account transcripts it says processing date as 2/24 but there are no codes anywhere I’m hoping you’re right about e filing.

@chaddox i wouldn’t worry so much… from what i have seen on here… those who efiled their form are getting them back rather quickly…. it has me worried that i made the wrong choice this year….

Chaddox it probably means they are still processing your information. did you look at account transcript that is where the codes show up.

I efiled my taxes but mailed in the IS form… we were accepted Feb.2…. according to the transcript they got my form Feb. 18th…. now im waiting… im glad for the new thread… it makes it alot easier to talk to people with the same issues…. gives me hope it wont take over 16 weeks this year…. Last year i efiled my form with my taxes and it was a nightmare… it was the end of May when i got my money…. so i decided to mail it this year…. Hoping I made the right choice!

    @patrick

@cmbreede – Yes, while the 570 remained (and is still there), an 846 code was added below it, meaning the refund had been approved.

    #21317 Reply

    InjuredspouseVA

Ok so we are in the exact same boat. We were accepted on Feb. 1 2014.. I spoke with an agent who said our 8379 form was processed on March 4th. And that it should be two to three weeks and our refund would be in. They says it’s 45 days from when they revive the form which for us was Feb. 10. Now if you efile the form and don’t mail it in separately they say it could take 11weeks. This is crazy!!!

    Ashley

I just got off the phone with the irs and they said that my case was assigned to some one and gave me the 11 week blah, with someone assigned to it does this mean it will happen sooner then later.

Has anyone had any problems getting their IS refund this year 2014? I am needing all the help I can get this is my first year filing IS…

    #21308 Reply

    Chaddox

Where is it that you find these codes at?

    #21306 Reply

@cmbreede, yeah…waiting seems to be the one thing that gets anything done >.<

I’m so glad next year will be the last year we do this. I can see the light.

@patrick did you see changes on your transcript first? My transcript still looks the same and no update on WMR and the 570 code date has never change it was 2-24 and no movement. So I will just keep waiting.

    #21304 Reply

I filed on 1-30-14 and everything was the same until about the second or third week in Feb my bars disappeared and it says processing a date will be provided when available. On my transcript I still have the 570 code with the date 2-24 my as of date at the top changed Monday 3-10 to as of 3-31-14. Not sure exactly what that as of date means? I saw somewhere that a couple of people who filed an IS had direct deposit dates. So I will just conitue to wait I guess what else can you do.

Newbie here…I know there was a thread started last year and has gotten some replies this year but wanted to see if it was OK to start a new one for 2014?

This is our 4th year filling IS…let’s see what the experience will be like this time around! lol

We filed and were accepted on 2/1/2014…it showed the “21 day” message for about 3 weeks and it has been showing the “a refund date will be provided when available” message ever since.

    How is everyone else doing?

    #21302 Reply

    JDobb

@Patrick- not sure I have to log back in for the transcript page to find out, it locked me out today so I have to try again tomorrow.

Whenever I Check to download my transcripts online its hit or miss when it works. Some days it will say unable to verify information when everything is entered identical every time. Does this mean anything. Last I checked ( Sunday 3/9/14) I had a code of 570 with a date 2/24 and still no update on WMR. Any ideas why?

… still waiting… going to see if i can download my transcripts this afternoon… haven’t been able to for days…. hope you all are hanging in there!

    @patrick

@JDobb 846 is the code for refund, what you want to see. However, that’s only helpful if it’s placed on your transcript *after* your 8379 is received and processed; otherwise, it’s just telling you that your refund was initially approved (and then taken). Is there any code *after* the 846 on your transcript?

    #21295 Reply

    JDobb

Also I have a tracking number on here

@Patrick- I checked online for transcripts created my account and looked up the transcripts for federal tax return. I see one that has some codes on it and I’m seeing dates. I’m not sure what these dates are exactly. I sent in my return 21 of Feb, I’m seeing a date of 03 March and 15 April also code 846 but I’m not sure what that is. So many codes I which I knew how to understand this stuff
