Just got off a call with the IRS…Rep said I have been selected for a “random” review. My return was accepted on 1/25…I called because last week my bars disappeared and WMR said “your tax return is still being processed” “A refund date will be provided when available”

The rep said it will delay things about 2 cycles whatever that means. Told me I could call back on 3/7/2018.

@PrettyLadyte Dang. Yea, so I guess you would have to have a document like I did which was my disconnect notice to actually get a response. I did call the 877 777 4778 number and let the intake lady know that I was “about” to have a hardship and she still wrote up a file and put me on hold with a PIN number for an advocate. I had to hang up after waiting almost two hours! Idk if you could actually wait that long. That is why I decided to fax my stuff at Kinko’s. My advocate let me know a whole lot more about what was going on with my return tho. It was worth the wait and extra effort to know what she saw on my account that NO ONE at that IRS customer service number could or would tell me about. If you are sure that you have no errors on your return, then just wait til April 3rd before calling your local office. In the meantime, call your employer’s HR office to find out the date they sent W2 info to the IRS for 2017. Knowing dates of documentation forwarding can at least put a time frame on when the IRS should have starting comparing notes on your wages. My question for anybody at the IRS is does the 4464 letter signify 45 days from the notice date AND THEN another 60 days if your received the cp05 letter??? That is what NO ONE could EVER tell me at the IRS and THAT is my biggest pet peave. WE CHECK EVERY FRIGGIN DAY FOR MOVEMENT AND REALLY SHOULD NOT START CHECKING UNTIL WHAT DAY????!!!!
